Personal Chart Commentary – week 159

Much movement this week! A brand new top 2 for starters – Lady GaGa’s second JTT #1 of the year as Poker Face enters at the top. Poker Face is much better than Just Dance imo, and could be at #1 for a while. Snapping at GaGa’s heels though is Jai Ho, the sole reason for buying the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack, as AR Rahman’s orginal song is given a brilliant makeover by the Pussycat Dolls! I have a hate-hate-love relationship with PCD and it gives them their highest charting hit to date from me. Rounding off the top 3 is Halo from Beyonce which climbs back into the top 10 – the whole top 3 this week deserves #1 so these hits may be about for a while!

Oasis are shoved to #4, Alcazar to 5, September to 6 and Royksopp to 7 by all the top 3 excitement, but the Noisettes manage a small climb to 8. The Pet Shop Boys shoot up to 9 from 28 and Calvin Harris finally enters the top 10 at 10 as I’m Not Alone’s release date seems to be finally confirmed.
