Same!

They used some of Palladio at the beginning of the show. :cheer:

 The Queen will not be amused....

That woman at the end was disgusting, but rotfl @ her walking round with her t*ts hanging out like it's something you do everyday.

Great start to the series!

It has to be my most anticipated album of the first half of 09.

They should have won last year. -_-

Now I have Kelly and Lily I have to agree!

Oh and dont even start me on last year :( Was gobsmacked they didn't win. I actually had myself convinced completely they would!

That woman who sang the Les Miserables song was f***in amazing. Her to win so far for me!

She was brilliant wasn't she? She seemed so totally humble. I think she herself just thought she had a nice voice ... but looked totally gobsmacked when they told her just how bloody brilliant she was. She chose a nice song too. Not fond of musicals but I liked that song.

I honestly couldn't believe it when she sounded that good!

I admit I thought "oh here we go again" when she came on..she seemed a bit strange!

But yes she is a standout from ep1. Along with the Flawness...Starvos Flatley...and for some (not me :P) "The Family"

I wanted to see what that voodoo lady was going to do. They cut her act short.
That woman who done the musical(?) track who everyone laughed at then was like OMGGGGG. She was one of the best, she had such a sweet warming tone to her voice, very nice to listen to!

So I ended up watching it after all. Pretty much the same as every other year then?

Average looking person (I'm being kind) isn't expected to give a thrilling performance but ends up being the 'next big thing' for opera style music. (see Paul Potts/Andrew Johnson) Not to mention another 201647246 dance troops. *yawn*

Seriously, it happens on BGT every year. Why don't they create something like "Classical Idol" or "The Opera Factor"? This type of singing goes right through me, but there's clearly some kind of market for it as they always seem to do alright.

That family were alright, the boy was good and the mum was decent. The dad was atrocious and the daughters weren't too good either. It was a bit creepy really, they seemed so 'perfect'.

As for the Greek father and son. Ugh. They were decent but they wouldn't have been half as popular if they weren't topless. People clearly found it so funny because of the jiggling fat.

That's understating it a bit really isn't it? She wasn't down to be just an average looker. She was supposed to be down as one of the UTTER loons; the ones they show time and time again on the previews and ITV2 back-up show for laughs.

Anyway, I don't think I care what else we have to come, I WANT her to win. You just know it wouldn't just be about singing for the Queen; this could give the woman a whole new lease of life, she seemed at least double her 48 years.

If I was the mushy type, I'd have been in tears throughout that.

Other thoughts; I really don't want them to split the family up; it just wouldn't have the same charm with just the kids. Greek riverdancers were rubbish but entertainingly so, and that's what the show is about really, it's not simply about finding the best dancer/singer. Amanda Holden remains a total tart. Ant and Dec were surprisingly wonderful with the old swaying guy. Bloke with the ear was FANTASTIC.

I have to admit, I'm liking this more than the X Factor et all. It's just so much more than the usual wannabes and sob stories. GREAT entertainment.

For those who missed it, the highlights of the first eppy...

Susan Boyle:

Susan Boyle is my life tbh.

I cried  God only knows what on earth came over me. I = mess.

Ehhh, I suppose she was a bit 'batty'. But we didn't really expect Paul Potts to be 'good' either, he was just a guy who worked in a phone shop. She's still one of those contestants you think will be rubbish, then they start singing and it's all good. Feels like I've seen it all before really, at least she's a bit more likeable than the normal classical singers you get on here.

The swaying guy was just ridiculously funny really. I found it hard to contain myself when he was on.
