I think they're not putting Agnes as a contender, because people might not expect it to do well, so it will keep it a surprise.

KATY PERRY :cheer: I hope this can keep climbing, loving this, hence the #1 in my chart.

Katy Perry :D

31 is a good position, no too far off my prediction actually. I think I said 32 for this. :o

31 (36) Katy Perry – Waking Up In Vegas (D)

32 (25) Marmaduke Duke – Rubber Love (D)

33 (**) You Me At Six – Finders Keepers

34 (35) Jason Mraz – I’m Yours

35 (32) Lady GaGa feat. Colby O’Donis – Just Dance

36 (33) Akon feat. Kardinal Offishall & Colby O’Donis – Beautiful

37 (30) Miley Cyrus – Hoedown Throwdown (D)

38 (10) Alexander Rybak – Fairytale (D)

39 (**) Escala – Palladio (D)

40 (34) The Noisettes – Don’t Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go)

This Katy Perry song is so generic - it really lacks the oomph that made IKAG and HnC special.
Rubber Lover has grown on me somewhat - anyone have their album?

I thought about getting it a couple of weeks ago, but Rubber Lover had really started to really annoy me by that point, so I decided not to in the end!

Their first single 'Kid Gloves' is brilliant though.

Her voice and veneer call up Amy Winehouse, but with a punk pop bent, bubblegum pinup style, and an affinity for 1980s rock themes; Katy Perry burst onto the top 40 on both sides of the Atlantic in the late 2000s. She gathered a cult following in late 2007 with the metrosexual-boyfriend-tweaking single "U R So Gay." Her star exploded when she went to the same well again with the dance pop-infused ode to fluctuating sexuality "I Kissed a Girl" (not a Jill Sobule cover), a teaser to the diverse debut, ONE OF THE BOYS. A surprising knack for hooks allowed Perry to sustain a career beyond one-note, and in 2009 she was a major player at both the Grammy and Brit Awards. - HMV

I love this song so much, her best song released from One Of The Boys. It really needs to climb though, but thanks "Thinking of You" it may not do that good.

Hmm, maybe its one to get cheap one day

Kid Gloves and Rubber Lover are brilliant, and how can a song called 'Skin The Mofo' not be as well?

Based on that, I would assume Duke Pandemonium is a great album. Don't own it though.

I liked the album, I think Skin The Mofo will be inappropriate for the next single. :o

STM isn't a single. I just know it's on the album due to it being top 300 on iTunes for a short amount of time.

is "Waking Up In Vegas" getting a physical release soon? if so, when?
Did anyone else hear that are Atomic Kitten Are Reforming But as a four girlgroup: Liz , Kerry . Tash and the other one

Apparently 'Silhouettes' is the next single

What a drop for Paolo, but that's expected. ;)

I know it isn't, maybe they re-release Kid Gloves?

EDIT: Oops, never mind.

There was no shortage of new acoustic singer-songwriters emerging from the U.K. in the mid 2000s. However, Scottish teenager Paolo Nutini had a slightly different take on things, bearing the marked influence of Marvin Gaye and Wilson Pickett as well as some usual suspects like David Gray and Damien Rice. Nutini's debut full-length, THESE STREETS, showcased his surprisingly gritty vocals to great effect as well as the undeniably catchy and commercial aspects of his songwriting. - HMV
