I don't really see why it's wrong to have a different opinion. I don't want cheap songs being sent, I want the contest to be about discoveries as I think that's better personally. Why should I change my stance just because some people disagree?

I will send what I want. If I want to send a song that's being realised next week I will send it. If I want to send a song that people will not know I will send it. It's YOUR personal choice what song to send. There are no rules "You cannot send THIS song because it's on the release schedule list". And if any such rule was made, I sure as hell would not participate any longer.

They have been in this contest only one time before, and they have also never done it big in the UK before (Wikipedia check).

 

This choice of single, as well. (22# UK chart at the highest)

 

 

Besides, it's a bit rude and/or disrespectful to say it will do poorly. :)

 

 

Also, I have never heard of this song before - and it could well be that this includes others.

You really dedicate much time to bring someones entries down.

 

1. I have never heard of it before.

2. Both Aly and AJ and the song has never done it big - this includes the UK.. (your personal "analysis" shows only that it is a really good song. Not a cheap one.)

3. I dont decide who is going to vote for it - and MUCH more cheaper and massively well known songs has been sent before.

4. I like it, and to me, this is a new discovery that I want to share - and that is still the purpose of this contest.
