Beyonce Knowles rose to fame as a member of the R&B ensemble Destiny's Child. With Beyonce's father as a manager, the group garnered massive success with their 2001 album, SURVIVOR. Soon Beyonce, sporting a sexy yet girl-next-door image, broke out on her own, with major roles in the Austin Powers movie GOLDMEMBER, a hip-hop version of the opera CARMEN, and her star turn as a Diana Ross-esque diva in the film DREAMGIRLS. With the release of her more eclectic solo albums and acting roles, Beyonce became a full-fledged international superstar and role model. It has been rumoured that after her 2008 marriage to rap mogul Jay Z, Beyonce would be performing and recording less and focussing on A&R work. - HMV

O.k. dance tune for Beyonce, but it was nice to see her with short hair in the video.

Woo! I'm so glad Kelly finally got a solo number one!

Errm, she didn't. Its with David Guetta. Unless you mean a #1 with her name on it, which she has accomplished before with Dilemma.

Well duh, all the songs but the top 2 had been revealed.

Well duh  i knew that, i'm not that dumb. Its just a shame it was this order

Beat Again is good, but number 1?

Beat Again sounds like a #1 song really - unlike Mama Do did a few weeks ago!

She only sung the chorus on Dilemma. She sung the entire song for When Love Takes Over

Tad harsh? I think he knows that...

She only sung the chorus on Dilemma. She sung the entire song for When Love Takes Over

She's never had a number 1 with just her name.

its still a #1 for Kelly :P

Work should have been number 1

Work Freemasons

The Cascada's song sounds like a Lady Gaga's style rip off but somehow it's been stuck in my head for the whole week (and I spent half of it in Scotland) so I'm glad that it's so near the top. Yet, I still haven't heard the number one song curiously enough so I'm going to listen to it carefully. :D
'Beat Again' defines generic. :( 2nd worst #01 of the year imo.

Its really nothing special..

Whats your first? :P

JLS :cheer: JLS :cheer: JLS :cheer:

Never thought I'd be happy that something from the X Factor got to #1  When the last time an act that didn't win a reality show got a #1?
