Posted August 6, 200915 yr Kate Nash begins work on new album with Bernard Butler Kate Nash has entered the studio with former Suede man Bernard Butler on production duties to record her second album. The London singer/songwriter has begun work at RAK studios, working on eight new songs in total so far, reports The Fly. "I had about 15 demos before I went in," Nash explained. "I met Bernard because of Ryan [Jarman of The Cribs and Nash's boyfriend]." The album is expected to be released in early next year with songs in contention for inclusion including 'Pick Pocket', 'I Hate Seagulls', 'You Were So Far Away', 'Doo Wah Do' and 'Don't You Want To Share The Guilt'. Speaking about the direction the songs on the album are taking, Nash said: "There's lots of nice guitars, and a really nice grand piano." http://www.nme.com/news/kate-nash/46505 You've no idea how delighted I am  :w00t:
August 6, 200915 yr Ugh I thought she'd disappeared for good. Dire woman with an atrocious voice and I still find it hilarious she was considered the Best British Female at the BRITs.
August 6, 200915 yr Cool, she's pretty good. I watched her DJ at Koko a few months ago, she seems pretty cool as a person as well :D
August 6, 200915 yr This will be interesting lol. I cant stand the girl even though I  Pumpkin Soup and quite like Mouthwash and Foundations.
August 6, 200915 yr I echo what Rain said. She can't sing why bother <_< Edited August 6, 200915 yr by The Music Luva
August 6, 200915 yr Absolutely love her! Really don't get the hate, her first album was epic and she seems absolutely lovely as a person. Really excited to see what she comes up with! ^_^

August 7, 200915 yr I get the impression she's generally seen as "very 2007", I'm not convinced she'll have a successful second album to be honest. She had a couple of alright tracks, 'Foundations' was pretty annoying and 'Mouthwash' was simply horrendous.

August 7, 200915 yr I heard 'Foundations' in a shop the other day, it still annoyed me as much as ever. :( 'Pumpkin Soup' was a decent single.
August 7, 200915 yr Author Dire woman with an atrocious voice and I still find it hilarious she was considered the Best British Female at the BRITs. Dire? I've seen plenty of her interviews/articles about her. She seems amazing in person  Foundations/Mouthwash/Skeleton Song were and ARE incredible! Brilliant début. Like Jack said, don't get the hate :(
August 7, 200915 yr Also she has the most beautiful tone to her voice when she sings verbrato (sp?) Really don't get the hate. Seen her six times, each some of the best gigs I've ever been to. Really hoping that Don't You Want To Share The Guilt isn't on there as it's been a b-side, also Doo Wah Do and I Hate Seagulls I don't think are up to scratch for the album. Hope Pickpocket and Paris make it though :) Amazing songs from a true talent.
August 7, 200915 yr I enjoyed her last album, will look forward to hearing the new stuff. Edited August 7, 200915 yr by MusicMaster
August 7, 200915 yr My sister being a huge fan of Ms. Nash sort of forced her upon me. She isn't that bad. Mouthwash is a brilliant song and Foundations is good, her other songs arwe all average. I'll be interested to see what she comes up with for album 2.
