Good evening people of the Buzzjack World! This is Queen Andreas coming to you live from Palaszio Dl'Alcazar in fabulous Numayania. Wicked Queen Svetlana already welcomed you to our parts last week and you laid down your wares, but now I'm here with a massive semi for you, or in fact two of them :kink: So it's time to cross swords with your adversaries and score!

 

We have 51 wornderful contestants in this contest, including several newbies. A warm welcome to Alteria, D'yer'maker and Singerpurear! You have all been put into a semi, and you can vote for any of the 24 other songs you're in with.

 

Voting will work in the time honoured tradition of La Chansong Conteste Dela Eurovisieun, so each contestant needs to give 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 points to their first to tenth favourite song in their semi. The top 15 in each semi will make it through and go head to head against each other in the final!

 

Not being a bitch but if any of you are too lazy to get off your fine asses and vote then you'll be getting a 33% reduction, and it's going to be much less likely that you'll make it through to the next round :P

 

Make sure you PM votes to my PA Tom BJSC Kay by 11:59pm on Saturday 9 February. You shall then be regailed with the fruits of your labour when I present the qualifiers to you on Sunday or Tuesday, depending on how well the royal visit to Berlin turns out!

INTERESTING. Usually I have a fair idea of people who like my entry, but I don't have a clue with 5-HT, so I can't complain about being in THE WRONG SEMI.

 

Heard quite a lot of entries here, but it's sorta to be expected. I'll express my shock at What You've Done To Me getting through (I imagine it's for similar reasons to Diandra though, which I do see) - mainly because I've been seeing it on The Box, 4Music etc recently. Still, probably more worthy of a veto than Darin who has very little hype - but I do see reasons why Samantha has been let through.

 

But other than that, there's plenty of borderline veto concerns there, but nothing too serious. Tribes may have been a #36 chart hit, but like, it's hardly well known across Buzzjack.

Really? Never even heard of it tbh. I'm surprised Kodaline wasn't veto'd though, not that it matters, it's hardly a chart hit per sé.

Loving the Aeroche entry, though it's clearly going to be a smash hit and I'll regret not having entered it myself.

 

I know TWENTY FIVE of those though, that must be the most ever. Sadly about half of those are rubbish so it's not off to the best start, but who knows.

Some rather HMM entries here - 'Skirts' is a fairly recent UK top 40 hit, 'Dark Again' came top 10 in the last Unknown Pleasures, Kodaline were on the Sound of 2013 and The Irrepressibles are in the Multichart right now.

 

Nonetheless, excited to have BJSC back :D Just aiming to not DNQ this contest, I know Harve and Umi will vote for my song unless they're two-timing bastards so I'm off to a decent start.

I'll also be VERY interested to hear Rumour - as I considered sending 'No Strings' by Chloe Howl.

OH YEAH.

Hmmm....All I Want is months old, really good song though. I was actually gonna send 5-HT right up until I found my entry! I don't think I would've got it in time anyway, but I was unsure how it would go down...I bet it will be huge now, it is Hendinia after all :P

 

Just really, really hoping not to DNQ again, there's a fair few people in my semi that I think may get on board with it so I'll only hope.
