We have been investigating some allegations of vote tampering within the contest over the last few months. We’ve recently uncovered evidence to support this and we are currently in the process of dealing with the members in question.

 

As many of you already know, this contest is an integral part of Buzzjack and we all participate in it with the hope of finding new music, developing friendships, and just having a good time. Allegations of vote tampering or any wrong doing, either on the host’s part or by a participant, are taken extremely seriously. This kind of behaviour goes against the spirit of this contest and it’s not something we take lightly.

 

There is a particular level of trust that we, as moderators, expect from both hosts and participants, and trying to manipulate (successfully, in one particular case that we’re aware of) the winner and qualifiers in semifinals is a kick in the face for both us as moderators and for you as participants. We put a lot of work into making this contest a great place for you all to relax and enjoy yourselves, and we’re so appreciative for all of your passion and dedication in this contest.

 

We would like to just reiterate that at no point has this gone ignored. We have been discussing this among ourselves as soon as we heard about it, and we’ve promptly dealt with one particular case. However, if you suspect (or KNOW) that your votes have been manipulated then you NEED to tell us. We are aware that this may be more than a once off and we’ll be in contact with a few of you shortly for some assistance in this matter.

 

Members found to manipulate results (at any stage in the contest) will be banned from participating in this contest (including spin-offs, TBO, or anything else for that matter) with immediate effect and stripped of any wins known to be from a result of vote tampering.

 

We understand that some of you are quite upset by this, and rightly so, but we assure you that this is being dealt with. If you have any concerns, questions, or even answers then please PM one of the moderating team immediately.

Yes, the pro-Trifoski agenda clearly got Kool Aid into the final because I still don't know how that did so otherwise :o (jk love that song)

That's what I can't get my head around.

 

If you were trying to change your votes, then the host could just say "ermmm, how about no".

 

And if someone had changed your votes then exactly what you said Harve, you would pipe up during the results?

Agreed. This isn't a management doubting issue - if something has genuinely happened that has affected all of our contests then why is it being talked about in tongues?

I think with the sounds of what's going on it would be better to be as transparent as possible rather than keep things hush hush as us normal folk deserve to know what's been going on between some members!
