This should be a group that France will win. It will be close for the second spot between Denmark and Peru.

France as it has been said, this will either be triumph or disaster. This should be comfortable for them against Australia. I expect Australia to be quite physical.

France are walking all over Australia so far. I can see this being a big scoring game.

EDIT: Alas, I was wrong. Australia have picked up their game and have actually had a few chances.

France have been awful that first half. Pogba is terrible and Grizemann is totally off-game.

The first penalty wasn't even a penalty, he touched THE BALL. unsure.gif

Australia should have been in the lead.

I assume Umtiti is trying for the fair play award. The only explanantion for his handball can be that he was so embarrassed by the penalty France were given that he decided to give Australia a penalty to redress the balance. So well done him.

France look so weak in this match, I had them down to win the tournament as well. Australia are more than holding their own here! If France play like this against the likes of Brazil, Germany or Spain then they will get smashed.

Overall... I expected more from France, they look bad on paper, I can't see them beating the likes of Spain and Germany in the later stages, if they meet them.

Peru still I think are the most likely to win against Denmark (they are good and fast on the counter-attack), even though they missed that penalty.

Unlucky from Peru where they missed many chances with fantastic saves from Kasper Schmeichel and that terrible penalty.

So annoying, I had big money on Peru to win and they should have won that comfortably. An absolute sucker! If they could finish they would win this group.

If Australia continues the way they had against France, they could win the next two games and advances to Top 16.
