Hello and welcome to Semi Final #1 in the 138th Buzzjack Song Contest. For those who are new or need some familiarisation with the rules, please take some time to have a quick look over the rules before you submit your votes.  VOTING RULES ⌦ You must only vote in the semi final which you have been placed into unless you are Aesthetica or Kluminican Republic, who must vote in both semi-finals as a autoqualifiers. ⌦ Votes should be submitted in the Eurovision Song Contest voting system (i.e. 12 points, 10 points, 8 points, 7 points, 6 points, 5 points, 4 points, 3 points, 2 points & 1 point should be awarded). ⌦ All votes must be sent by PM to me (Botchia) and no one else. ⌦ The deadline for submitting your votes is Monday 27 September 2021 at 23:59 BST. Jadakissnia entering once again my faves 90's dance songs
 (I must admit I considered it myself long time ago but then I've learned Cascada did cover it and kinda ruined it for me lol but so happy to see someone else sending it). |

I was hoping to end up with a decent amount of dancebloc members this month and I've not been disappointed *.*

Sorry so far is becoming a hit in different places
I'm seeing this entry sent to another song contest I'm in and I quite like the song  . Great to see Kaleida here and Iron Heart is a lost gem which Denmark missed out in Eurovision this year. Excited for this semi!

Quickly skimming and it appears that New Lexico are joining me in sending Avicii this month! (but more seriously it sounds a lot like 'Goliath' so perhaps it could do similarly well?)
Also I've only ever heard the Cascada version of A Neverending Dream before, should've occurred to me it was a cover given it is Cascada. This version is already sounding better so that is promising. I'm also already familiar with the Solardo song which is a bit of a tune, so hopefully that can do well. |

Although the one Deafheaven song that made it to the dhwe charts seems to be a much older song and as I understand it their older music is several universes away from their current sound  (I've only discovered them this era but I see a lot of their fans not being too keen on the new direction, I'm much more into this shoegaze/post-rock sound than I am into black metal though so no complaints from me). I was debating between sending this or 'In Blur' as that song is probably their most 'accessible' (and has a music video) but ultimately decided it's best to just go with the song I like the most, not exactly going to be winning either way xxI think there are 4 songs in this semi I've heard already - plus Travis' AQ as he already sent it to Club Bizarre a while ago! - though none of them are ones I remember being hugely standout on first listen, will see if they prove to be growers

'A Neverending Dream' was a huge fave too, of course + there are some others I'm familiar with (Bhangra, Aquafina and Tartford). Don't be fooled by the video of 'Direkt Bock' - although it is most likely the best video of the year that contains at least 39 10/10 moments, the song itself is fantastic, too (but might need a second listen, it is not as instant as 'Nachbarn' was). |
