Here, you can take a wild ride on our hamster ball rollercoaster, dance the night away in the Rave Cave dance floor, or enjoy a nice view of the blooming Logjam Lotus. All sponsored by No Sweat Insurance! This is where the semi-finals are going to be taking place. 62 squads have readied up, but only 40 squads, two from each semi, will remain by the end of the week. Which ones, you may ask? Well... that is all up to you! Here's how you can do your part and vote for which squad will advance: QUOTE 01 | Only people who are participating in this contest are allowed to vote. 02 | Each country must vote in their assigned semifinal. The autoqualifier for this round, Cor Lupus, will vote in both semifinals. 03 | Votes must use this points system to rank your top 10 favorite entries: 12 / 10 / 08 / 07 / 06 / 05 / 04 / 03 / 02 / 01. Just remember, you only have a limited amount of bars, so make sure you choose wisely. 04 | You cant vote for yourself. I mean... we all want to, right? But that isnt a good reflection of what everyone really thinks about your entry. 05 | Cody will be handling all vote inputs and calculations for this event. Don't worry, he's not Midas in disguise. Your deadline for turning in votes will be 25 August 2022, at the stroke of midnight BST. But be careful: to vote on time means having to pay a small late fee.. Late votes will be allowed by discretion of the host but will be subject to a 15% deduction, while no shows will suffer a 33% deduction. Squads that have already voted will shine a cool bloom blue. initial thoughts:
- these are REALLY GOOD, i'm so excited for the lineup order listenthrough - surprised at Anitta passing through veto but iirc that song flopped in the US - some of these I've already added to my driving playlist - only two K-pop artists but that's fine, I nearly sent BEBE YANA last month with a different song so I'm excited to see how she does - Leww i know who to blame if you DNQ this month |

That looks like it's not the worst semi draw I could have got ~ but still not going to hold my breath too much for a qualifier this time, I'm well overdue a DNQ at this point (15 would be a satisfying enough number to end the streak on)! Though by all means anyone in semi 1 who's down to support some grunge girls please feel free
 There's a decent number of songs that I already know I'm a fan of in this contest! Early hype from me in my own semi to Aeroche, Terra Avium & Wholune, and in the other semi to Cadelicia & Cumulonimbia then there are a few others beyond that which I already know and like too which I hope can grow further hearing them again in the contest.Wholune's song is serving big My Chemical Romance 'Black Parade' era vibes, I'm not quite as big a fan of it as I was of the last Palaye Royale entry but I could see this one doing pretty well. Btw @ Dan for when you're making the Spotify playlists, Eastovka's song is on Spotify but under a Japanese title (there's a version with its name in English as well but it's a re-recorded duet version as far as I can tell - the one you want is the one at #1 on the artist's popular songs list). |

Echoing Jafet's comments, I do know a LOT of songs this month.
Kluminican Republic sent the exact song I was thinking of! Huge hype at least! (And it led to Bre redacting my comment I promise I'll be more careful babbling next time  To be fair, it could also be Bishop Briggs's Revolution or Melanie Wehbe's Bloom, which all sound big x) I do think they have some fierce competition this edition though. Look out for FARC as I think the song has the perfect formula for BJSC success -- French, accessible pop, some fancy synths... I'd be shocked if FARC doesn't finish in the top 10!Also from the above list I know the songs of Skall, N DNTN, Wholune and Cadelicia. Skall and N DNTN strike me as entries that are not safe qualifiers but they are really good in their own right. N DNTN in particular is probably Wardy's nemesis so I'm giving you a heads up  I'll be sure not to commit the shadery that is with your TAAHLIAH entry this time round! Wholune is also another winner alert. I think the winner rock entry could be this one -- emotional, banging instrumentation, unique vocals. I hope you can fulfill my prophecy  Cadelicia's entry is good and I think it's better than the last TAAHLIAH entry. Hopefully this will do better!Unfortunately looking at my semi most of my potential supporters are on the other semi. Sadly I'm not rating highly my chances of qualifying  EDIT: Also NOT Jadakissnia in the death slot again  The SHADE, the AUDACITY!!EDIT (2): Yehesi's entry is not the one I'm thinking of. I was like you said about promoting Dutch artists. Then, I realise I have a couple of Dutch songs I know that have less than 300 views, and this one seems to tick every box. I can't say I'm not particularly salty at ABSOLUTE. being vetoed when Rose Gray has made it through with "Cupid" - surely that's even worse??? Someone who's nearly won, Tune Of The Week on Radio 1 as well and from someone who's more of a rising star than ABSOLUTE. would be? Not that I don't think ABSOLUTE. had it's justifications but Rose Gray is definitely more of a locked in BJSC hit and with same potential sort of real world impact "Stuck In Love" would've been! Especially when it's from one of the mod team, seems a bit not right to me (no offence Rob)!

(Of course you're not in my semi though :'( ) I actually didn't realise it was the same Desire that did Under Your Spell from the Drive soundtrack, that fits quite well into the Terra Avium entry canon given I've also sent Kavinsky from there!
