September 15, 200916 yr I'm really surprised that the charts have turned back around to 1 week #1, big droppers from the top etc...this year, 2008 was deadly slow movement wise, but I'm finding them more interesting again now, I'd rather have 3 or 4 new entries a week in the top ten over 8 non-movers, 1 climber and 1 faller :drama: I agree, the stagnant charts were an absolute nightmare. Although I'm not sure if this is down to it being the busiest release period in an age, and it may return back to how it was when it dies down.
September 15, 200916 yr Author What is the exact position Hotel Room Service and do you know where Paparazzi & Bulletproof are? MRS 22+11 The other 2 tracks are long gone
September 15, 200916 yr Nice to see Madonna at #2 considering it's only just entered the top 10 on iTunes. It should be number one though.
September 15, 200916 yr does she have any opportunity to keep the number 2? because I guess all the fans bought the cd today, the physical...but on the other hand the airplay is good, and I´m sure the itunes sales will increase

September 15, 200916 yr Im hoping Shakira can keep climbing in the singles and im so happy with the great sales for Muse in the albums, totally didnt expect peter andre in the top 3 i expected low top 10 at highest. BUT WOW WOW WOW Bananarama top 40 in the albums if they can hold on its their first studio album to make the top 40 for many many a year,
September 15, 200916 yr So Patrick Swayze 'She's Like The Wind' Top 10 by Sunday then do we think?! There are already reports of a huge surge in sales for the Dirty Dancing soundtrack and downloads of SLTW.
September 15, 200916 yr Author BUT WOW WOW WOW Bananarama top 40 in the albums if they can hold on its their first studio album to make the top 40 for many many a year, Not likely it will drop out of the top 40 tomorrow.
September 15, 200916 yr Good that Bananarama are even in the Top 75! TBH i was expecting it to not be anywhere after the 'failure' of the recent single and added to the fact their last album [Which they had 2 Top 30 hits from] failed to make the Top 100!
September 16, 200916 yr Yes i thought the very same about bananarama so i am pleased for them. Pop life was their highest charting studio album in the early 90;s which made number 44 i think so id love if they could out peak that, even though to this day pop life is still a great pop album, Muse aside i have a feeling the albums overall have low sales which is why bananarama are so high.
September 16, 200916 yr Finally back from my month at home! Feel really out of touch wth the charts right now but I'll be trying to get back on and into swing off midweeks again! Just on yesterdays figures- Muse were 52,806 copies ahead of Peter Andre at #2 :kink:

Just on yesterdays figures- Muse were 52,806 copies ahead of Peter Andre at #2 :kink: So Muse sold 52,807 copies on Monday then? :w00t: Seriously though, since they sold 'nearly 70k' - say 69.5k or so - that means Andre will have sold 16.5-17k. I'd be surprised if he doubles that in the rest of week combined, though.

I do wish the people who criticise his album would bother to listen to it - it is a very good album indeed.
September 16, 200916 yr wonder will Shes Like The Wind re-enter now that Patrick Swayze passed away? The same thing crossed my mind yesterday. I suppose it will, depends how many radio DJs have started playing it I guess. Wouldn't be surprised to see Bill Medley & Jennifer Warnes creeping into up the Top 75 too.

Oh come on - even the big name artists have been struggling to sell that many this year (Lady Gaga's highest weekly sale has only been 45k, for example), so how on earth you think he can do better, is a mystery to me.
September 16, 200916 yr Author Not really in the mood for this today, but update coming shortly, got a migraine, so please be gentle with me.
