I too am surprised Madge is #2 in the midweeks and she must have sold a hell of an amount of physicals to get there.

 

Still, I suspect #2-#6 are very very close and it could all change by the end of the week - I suspect Guetta will end up @ #2 and Pixie should also climb with her album version now charting fairly highly.

I will be a bit annoyed if Guetta stayed at #2... but then, 'She Wolf' must sell more. :lol:

Some are suggesting Warner will release the Fans video version of Celebration tomorrow which contains the normal radio edit of the song.

 

If they do this then Madonna's online sales should increase.

By the way: Shakira like Madonna is also released in Great Britain much later than in other countries but she is doing really well. Maybe it's all because the quality of the songs? ;)

Pixie was never going to sell buckets of her album with Muse and Jay-Z releasing in the same week, I don't think she even sold over 7.5k, let alone her single sales for both of her singles were pretty average. I'm not having a dig at her, I just think she is just a pretty average singer.

No I meant that no.1s can't make more than a week at no.1 these days. Beat Again was the last no.1 to stay another week (although kudos to BEPs for managing a non-consecutive second week)

I'm really surprised that the charts have turned back around to 1 week #1, big droppers from the top etc...this year, 2008 was deadly slow movement wise, but I'm finding them more interesting again now, I'd rather have 3 or 4 new entries a week in the top ten over 8 non-movers, 1 climber and 1 faller :drama:
