September 15, 200916 yr At least Muse doing well in the albums.. best of the year, the singles chart is so bad.
September 15, 200916 yr Author And on a separate note Jason Mraz, U2, David Guetta/Kelly, BEPs (BBP), Biffy Clyro, Daniel Merriweather and Livvi Franc have left the top 40 chart from last week.
September 15, 200916 yr Are Sugababes - Get Sexy at 22 divided by 2? :) And yay for Pixie Lott - Boys and Girls falling so much! :D I LIKE this song but I'm pretty against all of these one-week #1s. And both Mama Do and Boys and Girls are one of the weakest #1s if we compare #1 sales to each other. I think if Madge doesn't overtake Sugababes or someone else in iTunes and doesn't go top-10 then she will get to about #6 in the officials and Pixie will return to Top5.

September 15, 200916 yr I thought Pixie was a safe #2 in the albums. Peter Andre? How ridiculous. I'm glad Bananarama's new album is doing a lot better than their last one, though it's still a flop.

Have you even bothered to listen to his album - maybe if you had you would understand why it is sitting at No 2 in the album charts
September 15, 200916 yr The trouble is warner have released celebration nearly every where bar here. It's been out since late july so, it's no surprise she ain't at the top here. Warner have not even got the fan video out yet. I will be glad when she's gone from warner.
September 15, 200916 yr Author Next week's #1 is predictable :heehee: I wonder who that will be  with the physical release. Oh well another new #1, I wish the weekly #1 will just go away.

I'm really not that sure that Shakira will take the number one next week, not with Taio's lead on I Tunes atm...
September 15, 200916 yr I'm very surprised Madonna is #2 on midweeks due to the relative poor performance (so far) of the download. Obviously the physical must have sold very well on Monday. It's not doing poorly though! She has FOUR entries within the Top 150 or so on iTunes! Her Single EP is top 10 on iTunes plus the fact her physical is released this week (I personally think physicals are slowly working their way back in for some reason) and she was always gonna win the physical war. I for one am not shocked she's top 3 today.
September 15, 200916 yr PA's success has got nothing to with supposed quality of the album.. most of the buyers haven't even heard it yet. I reckon it's got something to do with the months and months of free publicity he's had following a certain high profile break up, and a lot of sheep obsessed with OK and Hello magazine who pay more attention to celeb's lives than their own sorry existence. But that's another thread, for another forum.. :P Edited September 15, 200916 yr by anxresi
September 15, 200916 yr Thank you, Mikey. :) Also I'm hopeful that Shakira will go to #2 by the end of the week: I bet she is outselling combined Guetta in iTunes now and obviously she will overtake Madonna, so... Fingers crossed! :) By the way: Shakira like Madonna is also released in Great Britain much later than in other countries but she is doing really well. Maybe it's all because the quality of the songs? ;) Edited September 15, 200916 yr by Arrs
September 15, 200916 yr Have you even bothered to listen to his album - maybe if you had you would understand why it is sitting at No 2 in the album charts  No, although I have to admit the single is actually alright by his standards. I saw him perform a song from the album on TV this morning and it was painful.

September 15, 200916 yr there is no battle for #1 <_< taio nailed it. its a bit of a shocker really on paper madonna looks like a clear favourite, she has so much going for her, her radio airplay is #3 with an audience of 45 million+. her video airplay top10. multiple mixes charting including a well promoted remix version. plus 3 physical formats. taio and shakira nowhere near her in terms of awareness. her pre sales and fanbase buying the physicals on monday are giving her a good position at #2 but it will be tough holding on to it.
