October 5, 200915 yr I'd edit out all the drama regarding 14th place, but since it was a moderator who pointed it out (and I'm assuming people have seen it) I guess it's a bit pointless. Anyway I'm pleasantly surprised about getting through, perhaps I was being a bit stupid. :drama: This final is probably the most pleasing for me in a while, only two of mine didn't make it: 05 Hitanya 01 FNT Nickodonia Really shocked the Ne-Yo song didn't get through, I had it down as a potential top 10 finish. :o Loved it. In the other semi only Lykke Li, Dragonette, Dresden Dolls and maybe Saving Jane should have made it but I'm not sure they'd have been in for much from me based on other songs that have gone through. I can almost vote now, but I should probably give the others a chance. Not understanding this final being described as too Pop, it's wayyy more varied than the last final. Noah and the Whale/Chew Lips/Tiesto/YLHCSD/Muse are all somewhat Indie or Alternative and Beverley Knight/Prima J/Livvi Franc/Dollface are the sorts of songs that'd be posted in our R&B forum. (though the majority are closer to Pop) Neither of these genres were particularly represented last month or certainly not in this quantity.

It makes me laugh how your tastes change so drastically in such a short space of time. I liked your entry a fair bit but I really liked the semi this month. You were 12th in my voting, after Kylienips. But seriously, I don't get what's up with voters lately, "I Will Be Here" and "Pick Up The Phone" were/are great. :( I guess it happens to all of us, once I DNQ I'll probably turn into a wreck and send stuff Leonville would have turned their nose up at. :drama: I suppose having the most consecutive qualifiers is something for me though, just gotta keep an eye on Lorikeet and (in time) Numayania if I want to keep it.

October 6, 200915 yr I'm honestly a bit puzzled as to why PUTP and IWBH failed to qualify, especially considering the Kele track made it through (which is kinda blah, sorry Pavel :(). Dunno. I don't feel like people ever felt pressured to vote for me though. Daisy Dares You, Firefox AK, etc. I mainly just put pressure on myself to find songs that I thought people would take to considering everyone expected the next winner from me. After Daisy Dares You missed the Top 10, I've definitely not cared as much, hence the DNQs I suppose... Could've sent Lolene which easily would have made it to the final. I didn't and DNQed, but Pick Up the Phone is gorgeous. :wub: Perhaps it will do well come rejects time. We shall see. Looking at the Semi results, I'm a bit surprised Jester didn't vote for me having sent Dragonette last time. ;o Though Fixin' to Thrill anre PUTP are two very different songs.
