I reckon a large proportion of the people who signed up had never even HEARD of Rage Against The Machine and probably have no intention of actually buying the song. But we've still cause to be worried about it beating GaGa ;)

About the Alex/JLS debate, i don't really care if JLS are selling more copies of their album than Alexandra because they are just scamming their fanbase and i know that Alexandra's album is far better than their's to listen to.

Where exactly in my post does it say she is going to conquer America. Incase you didn't realise she signed a 3.5m record deal with Epic in America, record companies do not sign artists for that amount of money and not release an album so that is 'why they will bother releasing there'.

 

You clearly have no idea of how the music industry works if you think that Alexandra won't sell in America as 'there are a million better singers', have you never heard of Rihanna. If you are going to post against an artist at least make your post have an ounce of common sense.

I dont see how people can still say JLS massive album sales are down to the four different album covers :S Like Jay said most fans wouldnt be able to afford buying all of them.. and what would be the need too.. its the same album.. Okay some fans probably did buy all four to support the boys but I really doubt this was a lot of people.. They could also only be purchased online at HMV.com whereas a lot of sales would of actually come from supermarkets, hmv stores etc.. I dont even think they were number 1 on the top orders list on HMV online.. it was Robbie all week

Im sure their sales would of been a lot more frontloaded.. and they would have dropped down the chart if it was simply just young girls buying multiple copies.. but they have managed to hold up very well and are still number 4 this week after being in the chart for 5 weeks.. & will probably sell around 100k again

I can't believe this debate is still rolling on. The weaknesses in your argument are the following:

 

Most fans would be able to afford them as their fans are in the age bracket that have the highest disposable income in this country. Trust me 40 pounds is nothing for a heck of alot of their obsessive fans.

 

They weren't top of the online orders list as there were FIVE different versions, obviously that is going to split sales and prevent them from being top.

 

I am not suggesting that JLS are selling ONLY based on the multiple covers but say 100,000 people buy two versions and 30,000 of their most hardcore fans buy all five then the huge total really mounts up.

 

It also irritates me every week on the X Factor when Louis Walsh says they were the real winners.

I don't suppose Laura Marling's made an appearance :kink:?

Leona's new album did not go Top 10 after a massive debut album... Happy did not go Top 30... But Leona is different.. she's powerful etc... Alexandra is just a piece of amateurism.

I know a heck of alot about music and you are once again completely disregarding my post. I am well aware Leona flopped in the US and I am well aware that Alexandra will have trouble breaking into the music industry but when you SIGN A RECORD DEAL and have Simon Cowell working with you for an American release then the album is going to come out. I never once said she was going to sell my original post stated she would re-release here when she has released over there. I never once mentioned that she would be successful in the American market.

You seem to have serious issues with Alexandra Burke on every thread where she is mentioned you always have something really negative to say about her.Not too sure if you are just a rabid JLS fan or maybe sad Louis Walsh in disguise but you overdo it. Alex is very talented and has already scored an American recording contract so whether you like it or not she will be recording and releasing in America.It is a good thing for both JLS and Alex to be enjoying continued success after the show.Their sales figures for singles and albums are impressive and it is hoped they both have long careers.

There is no point even reacting to bitter, loser Louis Walsh of course he has to keep mentioning JLS, he is trying to market Jedward as the real winners of this years final so it suits his game plan.
