December 15, 200916 yr You're not keeping track of the conversation - that comment was about Leon Jackson and his ability to pass 500,000 total sales, lol. Whoops sorry Yeap, the whole fact it's 29p will probably make Scottish prostates move faster...
December 15, 200916 yr was sales data missing for wednesday? i mean only 8k seems very low, you can see though her downloads were very very frontloaded, i would expect the same with joe. Not sure - although 50,000 downloads were reported within 30 minutes of 00:00 Sunday so only 38,000 for the rest of Sunday and Monday, therefore 9,000 on Tuesday probably seems about right (note previous figure for Leona on Wednesday should have been 97k, actual figrue is 96,741 I just typed it in wrong). i cant see joes physicals being as big as leona. so i guess tomorrow we will have a better idea! so did leona sell almost 20k less that alex and pulle dit back to with in 5k. i cant wait! exciting stuff. Leona's single was released in a climate still dominated by physical sales, whereas Alexandra in a climate dominated by download sales. Therefore any comparison between the 2 in terms of progression of sales throughout the mids is meaningless.
December 15, 200916 yr Author err.... I go away for an hour and its 9 pages long already... -_- "slaps head"
December 15, 200916 yr i was just saying she pulled it back within 5k. i know leonas days had bigger physical sales than todays markets. thats why i cant see joe doing as well on physicals. its just interesting for me looking at all the numers and the stats. does anyone know alex's physical sales? thanks.
December 15, 200916 yr Joe will take the lead soon. His sales are starting off slow though. Starting off well, slowing down fast rather.
December 15, 200916 yr RATM are picking up some speed on i tunes, how will this effect tommorows mids? because joe has been a head all day so far.
December 15, 200916 yr To be honest, I think Joe may appeal more to a higher average with his musical theatre sounding voice, which may be reflected with heavier physical sales, rather than all the cool kids downloading. Find out on Thursday's mids.
December 15, 200916 yr Some people are so  This RATM thing is just as bad as X Factor if not worse. People should buy music because that is the music that they like, not because they want to stop another song from getting to #1. It's not like this campaign is going to stop Joe selling what he was going to sell if the campaign wasn't around but he is probably going to sell more tahn he would have because of the competition and the added interest that comes with it. And trying to stop X-Factors monopoly on the Xmas #1 with a song that is in no way Chrismassy defeats the object of trying to save the Xmas #1. Hopefully next year people will be smart and choose a Christmas song although i'd prefer it if X-Factor did a cover of an xmas song at least. Also Simon Cowell isn't going to care about what number The Climb peaks as he is doing it for the money not chart records. In fact he is probably happy this RATM thing is going so well but to help the RATM campaign do better he has to act out against it.

I found it ironic that he mentions the RATM campaign publically thus raising awareness of it even more. The devil he is :P
December 15, 200916 yr Joe will take the lead soon. His sales are starting off slow though. Yeah wait till all the school kids come home.
December 15, 200916 yr According to someone on Digital Spy.. JLS sold 31,264 in albums so another week of 100k hopefully :) Also along with the rest of the top 5.. These were also posted: Singles: 21 5,260 47% ALEXANDRA BURKE FT FLO RIDA 23 5,156 25% LEONA LEWIS 28 5,022 29% JLS Albums: 4 31,264 11% JLS
December 15, 200916 yr Joe will probably get a boost from physicals as stores like supermarkets sell x factors singles thats where i got last years single and thats where im getting this years one. Edited December 15, 200916 yr by Jmh123
December 15, 200916 yr I hardly buy physical singles.. listen to music mostly on my laptop/computer & on ipod.. so would much rather download a song for 99p or less than buying a physical copy for around 3 pounds :| But I guess a lot of big x factor/joe fans will want to buy the physical copy
December 15, 200916 yr Race against the machine should 100% not be #1, wtf. I'd rather joe tbh. Yea i agree like how old are race against machine i think joe deserves the number 1 more and people who joined that stupid facebook group i think are childish like what does it matter who is number 1 it is only the christmas chart.
December 15, 200916 yr I find the whole thing about being X-Mas number one is like the most defining moment of your life and that devilish X-Factor must be stopped truly stupid.... Why bother so much?! This is only charts for God's sake. I don't think Simon Cowell will make all people his slaves (and if it's his goal at all) in the nearest future if that is your main concern about rising against the X-Factor. Isn't it a bit hypocritic to watch it and then say it's $h!t. And don't give the 'there's no place to hide from it in the UK even if i don't watch it' arguement on me as i think it's stupid. Yes, i don't live in the UK, i can't experience it myself, but since when it's bad to not be a sheep and not to roll your eyes on people if you look like a 'freak' when you tell somebody you don't watch X-Factor?! The Sport section is alsmost in every newspaper I read, every news block I watch, but i skip it. X-Factor influence isn't like EVERYBODY watches it... Like Steve said buying music should be about joy/charity and good things and even though all money raised from RATM track sold goes to shelter - i doubt it's a good purpose - to go AGAINST something. People will not decide to start such campaign at any other time of the year because the state of rivalry is what attracts the most. I say - you like the song - buy it if you wish. I'm sure the handful of people against-X-Factor downloaded Joe's track anyway.
