December 16, 200916 yr Could you tell me the position for The Muppets' version of Bohemian rhapsody please?
December 16, 200916 yr Hmm....so worried for Joe. Joe deserves the #1 the most out of all the X Factor winners. He is a great guy and its a great song.
December 16, 200916 yr On North East Tonight just now, it said 8000 copies of Joe's single were sold at HMV in South Shields today, expect to sell 20,000 by Saturday. Figures look promising!
December 16, 200916 yr On North East Tonight just now, it said 8000 copies of Joe's single were sold at HMV in South Shields today, expect to sell 20,000 by Saturday. Figures look promising! Oh wow! I do hope physicals are high enough to put him over the top.
December 16, 200916 yr If a quarter of the success at HMV South Shields was repeated in 100 other stores or supermarkets today, then he will have sold over 200,000 just on physicals today. I think that is quite achievable after seeing that report just before!

Wow ... almost £32,000 donated to Simon Cowell from South Shields alone! Could be over £80,000 by the weekend! Brilliant! Norma Edit ... silly Norma ... there's a special discount going on in the North East ... half those figures! Still ... nice to see the people of the North East plumping up Cowell's pension plan. Exactly poor Simon Cowell he only earnt $128 million in 2008, so he needs every extra penny possible to keep up his botox, died hair, platform shoes and high waistband trousers. The poor thing.
December 16, 200916 yr Gosh... there are businessmen all around the world earning a hell of a lot more. And there are even people being paid millions and millions just to kick in a ball. I don't get you two, especially cause the same can be said about RATM, part of its money is going directly into some businessmen at Sony offices. Edited December 16, 200916 yr by Bert for Lashes
December 16, 200916 yr People keep saying the physical is selling well because they have seen loads of people buying it but surely downloads cant be seen when being bought really and downloads for RATM seem to be increasing. I really don't think the physical will save joe. And also, to the people saying joe deserves this etc, its such a superficial thing, whether he is no1 or not will have absolutely zero effect on his career as a music artist.
December 16, 200916 yr And an X Factor performance in front of 13 million.... One which was performed over a week ago and everyone's over it. I'd assume people are still buying it because its no.1 status has made more people aware of it.
December 17, 200916 yr Author Where in the charts is Whitney Houston's "I Look To You" (the single)? Its not top 40
December 17, 200916 yr I'm NOT doing it for Simon Cowell. I'm doing it for a good song and a good artist, Joe McElderry.
December 17, 200916 yr I'm NOT doing it for Simon Cowell. I'm doing it for a good song and a good artist, Joe McElderry. If you really mean that, then why don't you buy your copy next week? He's still likely to get to number 1, but for Christmas it's Rage Against The Machine all the way! :D
December 17, 200916 yr Blimey these charts aren't even about music anymore - people are buying Joe cos they don't want Rage at #1 people are buying Rage cos they don't want an X Factor #1 - does anybody even like what they are buying? R any of you either side going to be listening to these purchases in 4 weeks time? Ive never known anything like it - the charts are becoming ridiculous. Its constantly the blind, leading the blind following the deaf! Both sides are just being hypocritical. I wish George Michael would get x-mas #1 with December Song - a song a like and would be happy to listen to in July

December 17, 200916 yr Its not top 40 Thanks Mikey. Very surprising seeing as her last single "Million Dollar Bill" was very succesful.
December 17, 200916 yr Thanks Mikey. Very surprising seeing as her last single "Million Dollar Bill" was very succesful. It wasn't THAT successful, she just peaked at #5 thanks to her XF performance (which was the same night as Cheryl's with a massive 14M audience) and spent only 2 weeks in the top 10. ILTY hasn't been promoted anywhere in the UK and it's not played on the radio, so I don't see how it would chart.
December 17, 200916 yr Hmm....so worried for Joe. Joe deserves the #1 the most out of all the X Factor winners. He is a great guy and its a great song. What do you mean by "Joe deserves the #1" where does it tell you he deserves it? Bcoz he's a pretty boy and has an angel voice? Bull$hit! He's a karaoke act who happened to sing on that track. It doesn't make him #1.
December 17, 200916 yr Blimey these charts aren't even about music anymore - people are buying Joe cos they don't want Rage at #1 people are buying Rage cos they don't want an X Factor #1 - does anybody even like what they are buying? Its constantly the blind, leading the blind following the deaf! Both sides are just being hypocritical. I wish George Michael would get x-mas #1 with December Song - a song a like and would be happy to listen to in July At least though, the people buying RATM are honest enough to give their reasons ... they want to stop the machine that is Simon Cowell. Those buying The Climb are saying they're buying it because its a 'good song'. If its a 'good song' how come Miley Cyrus didn't trouble the top 10 with it ... answer ... the song is sh/te! People are buying it because they've seen a 12 week advert for it. Besides ... people aren't necessarily buying the X-Factor song for themselves ... they're buying them as 'stocking fillers' and instead of Christmas cards in the mistaken belief that the recipient will actually bother putting it in their CD player! By the way ... I still haven't downloaded RATM yet ... although I'm liking the song (a lot thanks to that youtube video of it) there are still other songs I prefer. If there is a campaign next year, with a song that can also have the benefit of a physical release .... I'll be behind it 100% .... and I may even buy a few of those 'stocking fillers'.
