December 22, 200916 yr Cheryl has a 2nd 3 Words entry at #45 which when added together with #7 puts her at #4. I suspected this would be the case. -x- Oh my, you've gone and given us almost the entire singles top 40  I knew a lot would climb but this is crazy. I'm gonna comment on a lot of things there :P
December 22, 200916 yr What really is the point of those 80,000 singles Joe has sold this week why did these same people not buy last week and get him to No 1.Unless the song has improved in quality it is a real waste he will still be remembered as the boy who missed out on the Christmas No 1. You do realise that there are people out there who's lives dont revolve about who is number 1? Some of these people buy singles. The point of these 80,000 people buying The Climb is that they either like the single or are buying it as a gift. No more, no less. To address the point about who will be the first number 1 of 2010. Surely that's simply whoever is number 1 in the first chart of 2010. I can't remember any instance where a number 1 from Dec has been deemed a number 1 from the following year unless it managed another week at the the top - nevermind the weekending rubbish.
December 22, 200916 yr 100+6. Really wish it was top 40. Ah well it's close to 100's I guess  Hope it's gonna have a late surge. Thanks
December 22, 200916 yr 1 Joe McElderry - booooo 2 Rage Against The machine - wooooo 3 Lady GaGa - yay I guess 4 Cheryl Cole - woo 5 3OH!3 - yay Top 10 6 Peter Kay - yahoo 7 Journey - :puke: 8 BEPs - woo, climbing again ^_^ I guess they can keep up their top 10 streak until the end of the year after all. I wonder when it'll all end for them? Top 15 12 Alicia Keys - didn't expect to see this one climbing :o although I suppose XFF are falling and there's nothing new above it, so yeah... The Pogues - wow, I hope they keep this up! didn't expect them to reach any higher than #18 this year Timbaland - climbing as expected... 15 Chery Cole [FFTL] - climbing as expected... Top 20 Chipmunk - climbing back as expected... Jason - climbing back as expected... Mariah Carey - oh bugger, if The Pogues are top 15 of course this'll have to be top 20 again Alexandra Burke - no! go away! Jay Z/Alicia Keys - yay, top 20 again ^_^ Top 30 22 Alexandra Burke [bH] - this is actually not that bad (not good though), I don't really mind it being this high tbh. it better overtake BB though Black Eyed Peas [iGF] - I expected this to return to the top 20. I guess it will with the iTunes gift card effect or whatever it's called in the new year Pixie Lott - why is this listed? it's a non-mover and not a new song 25 N-Dubz - damn, no new peak yet... I really hope they can still go top ten with this, it seems to be stalling around the mid-20s :( 29 Saturdays - just up one place  I doubt this will go top ten, maybe top 15 though Florence + The Machine - didn't expect this to climb again. I don't understand why this is so popular to have this longevity that RH(RIU) never had :( Top 40 Jay Sean - yay, climbing back 32 Jay-Z/Mr Hudson - woo! a (good) new entry at last! back at its #32 peak, hopefully a new peak this week ^_^ Miley Cyrus [PIT USA] - boooooo Alicia Keys [Empire State Of Mind II] - haven't yet heard this Wham! - back in the top 40... I wonder if we'll scrape in a couple more Xmas songs by Sunday. Edited December 22, 200916 yr by BrayFish
December 22, 200916 yr So 'Outta My Head' isn't the second single? :( I thought 'I Got You' was US-only. Nope IGY is Worldwide . :D
December 22, 200916 yr I am surprised that the journey is at #6 . These are the results after 2 days, but Cheryl CD's was released just yesterday. I' m still thinking that Cheryl will #4.
December 22, 200916 yr Do you have positions on Robbie's album and single? Thanks :D Album 4+3 single 6+4
December 22, 200916 yr So Cheryl is really 3+1. This is gonna be a strange chart this week! How come there are two Cheryl entries? Anyone know?
December 22, 200916 yr Author I suspected this would be the case. -x- Oh my, you've gone and given us almost the entire singles top 40  I knew a lot would climb but this is crazy. I'm gonna comment on a lot of things there :P Everything has literally gone up, you can see the top 20, it can easily be worked out
December 22, 200916 yr What a stupid question??! the point that Joe X-factor has sold 80,000 is because people are buying the song on their own terms, because they like the song and think "oh i'll buy it" THIS IS THE TRUE REFLECTION OF THE CHARTS! Now with RATM's drop in appeal this week this just shows who the 'controled, mindless' members of the public are! The people who started that whole campaign on facebook have even impressed Simon Cowell with their manipulation...so tbh I don't know whos worse! X-Factor, RATM (and it's fans <_< ) aside, THEM facebook people have become the thing they hated the most and are too dumb to see THEY have ruined the Christmas No.1 with their 'comunist campaign'
December 22, 200916 yr Good on Joe. Looks like he'll have the higher overall sales by tomorrow with Rage's downloads falling...a theme I expect to continue all week. Nice to see Cheryl could possibly go Top 5 showing continued support for her really and back in the album Top 10. Though, I'm happier about Michael Buble. Hope he can stay there and do well. I'm pretty bored of hearing about SuBo.
December 22, 200916 yr Cheryl has a 2nd 3 Words entry at 43+2 which when added together with #7 puts her at 3+1. That's brilliant news! Hopefully in tomorrow's update the sales are added together and be able to see how near it is to #3.
December 22, 200916 yr Thanks Mike, I'm just curious how you know that Cheryl is a total of 4 if you do not have information on sales. And how is it possible that 2nd 3 Words entry at 43 +2 if the 2nd 3 Words is out on itunes TOP 150 Edited December 22, 200916 yr by Tommy
December 22, 200916 yr Everything has literally gone up, you can see the top 20, it can easily be worked out  Well, you've given us 19 out of the top 20, which brings me to the conclusion that Ke$ha must be a non-mover at #11. There we go, the whole top 20  6-6-7-7-7-5-11-11 is probably the strangest chart run of recent times I'd say  Thanks Mike, I'm just curious how you know that Cheryl is a total of 4 if you do not have information on sales. And how is it possible that 2nd 3 Words entry at 43 +2 if the 2nd 3 Words is out on itunes TOP 150 I think the deal with multiple versions appearing usually has one for downloads (#7) and one for physicals (#45). It's fixed by Wednesday most times. -x- Can I please have positions for Only By The Night, Sex On Fire and Use Somebody, Mr. Ryan? ^_^ I'm hoping another small climb for the album this week, a climb for SOF and US to return to the top 100.
