Oops, I was confusing myself there - it was Jaylicia that was #24 last week lol.

Will we be getting the chart straight away at 4pm this week as we will have the EOY countdown on the chart show?

 

 

Last year they started off the EOY countdown, and played out the official chart in the last 20 mins or so of the show, if I remember correctly, its going to be a very quick rundown, you blink and you miss the whole thing :lol:

I don't get why they don't just call the date the date that it is announced on, it would be much clearer then. 27th Dec 2009.

I'm glad Joe will get his #1 this week, and I'm really glad that Bublé is #1 on the albums! I love Susan, but I'm glad someone is finally knocking her off #1, and it's all that better because it's Bublé! Oh, and glad Cheryl is #4 (:cheer:) and Saturdays are in the Top 30!

I'm surprised. I didn't think Joe would carry on selling so many physicals. I wouldn't be surprised to see him sneak to 250k this week tbh - clearly people are buying his CD as "stocking-fillers", and there's still 3 days of Christmas shopping left.

Joe looks like he'll head into the top 5 best selling of the year then maybe. Good on him!

I can understand why some years can have 53 chart weeks (if there is a chart announced on 1st Jan) but not why any would ever have only 51.

It because there isn't exactly 52 weeks in a year there fore there can be either 52 or 53 in a year if you get what I mean. This weeks chart is for 2009 though so the first #1 of 2010 won't be announced until a week Sunday and that could be Joe.

Well, as far as I'm aware, we've just had the 51st week of '09. If next week is counted as 2010, 2009 is a 51-week year. That makes no sense.

Its like the sales of this week belong to 2009, but the week ending puts Joe in 2010 and as the first #1 of 2010, its so confusing. :wacko:

 

I just looked on the calendar for next year week ending 2 Jan is Week 1, 9th Jan is Week 2 still makes no sense to me :blink:

How can Cheryl be at number 4 when on Digital Spy they say she's non-mover. :wacko:

What really is the point of those 80,000 singles Joe has sold this week why did these same people not buy last week and get him to No 1.Unless the song has improved in quality it is a real waste he will still be remembered as the boy who missed out on the Christmas No 1.

 

well I'm glad he missed out on the xmas number 1 cos I cant stand the x factor.
