Aaron - this song wasn't in the show itself, i'm not sure if you change your mind on it after the show.

And WOO I'm not an indie kid :kink: From 2010 i'm going indie AT FULL. Mainstream (not all though, but most of it) = bad.

That just earned you a nomination in the BJSC Awards, if you really mean it. :kink:

See I can't think like that. My ears like what they like and I can't dictate that. I could say that I'm going to spend all 2010 listening to Arctic Monkeys or The Big Pink but I can't.

Saying that I am liking Indie alot more. Skall's entry into the Xmas Special was just <3.

Yeah, i understand you, i was such a radio addict in 2003-2006 :drama: The variousity of musical styles/genres/directions and artists fascinates me so much. And mainstream is 'mainstream' after all, you will hear it even if you don't want to, so why bother spending time to bum it particularly...

I guess every 'indie kid' starts with mainstream though. :kink:

+ 1

But myself, even if I seem to be liking indie/indie pop (and other genres of course) a lot more - I'd rather be a 'variety kid' though :w00t:

I've liked indie since 2005 when I discovered M.I.A, LCD Soundsystem, Sufjan Stevens, Wolf Parade, and Sleater-Kinney. f*** Y'ALL BITCHES JUMPING ON MY BANDWAGON.

jk welcome <3

Toxic is godly.

But my taste was $h!t before 9th grade. Completely cheesy pop / Linkin Park lawlz.

In all fairness, I was 12.

Linkin Park lawlz.

Linkin Park's first album is still great. IMO.

The newer ones not so much. :/

Mmm no haha. );

I really cannot find any artistic merit behind poignant lines such as "SHUT UP WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU" besides that it reflects nicely on my angsty pubescent phase.

I guess I can see it being a little fun, but good? Ehhhhh.

Maybe not the lyrics but the music. :P

And there's

(ok, not the original version but still). And "In The End" is one of the best rock songs of this decade for me.

OMG as if Gary gave Parenthetical Girls a 12, should i be shocked? :o But he deserves winning for that :heehee:.

I didn't notice that when i PMed his votes, hopefully it wasn't me

My taste isn't so niche that i'm not expected to vote for any songs that'd appeal to pop fans, is it? :( But Nightwish are rather epic, and i'd never heard it before. I've only really heard their BJSC entries, i must go check out their other material tbh.

BaNG also pm'd his votes to me, both sets were missin the 7

Oh they did get to you then! o: I had to make sure they did  My internet was being a bit dodge.

But yeah, the blonde of my hair had obviously seeped into my brain.

Tbh you can't just plan out your music taste. I dunno why i started liking 'indie' (i hate that word so i have to invert-comma it), i was certainly happy enough with cheesy dance . Oh and i've never ever started disliking a genre entirely that i've once liked, i've just became harder to please.

WOO! Parenthetical Girls aren't even that accessible really, they're experimental according to those that actually can put stuff into genres.

I started with Enter Shikari when they weren't mainstream tbph -_- (then i went to BEPs, ha!)

You mean you didn't trust me? :snif:

^Damnit, I meant "noW an indie kid" but somehow managed to put 't' in there. -_-

I did trust you :o I had tried to send them before I asked you to, as I didn't think they went through.

But thnxxx anyways :D
