March 9, 201016 yr I am sick of people saying it's the 'death of music'. For god's sake, the style of music that's doing well at the moment just happens to be what is popular AT THE MOMENT. We'll grow out of it given a few years. Having said that, I will agree on it being partly the death of music if Beaver makes #1, but only if that happens. March 9, 201016 yr Gorillaz comeback single has done nothing, it didn't bode well for the album. In fact, after this week, I reckon Gorillaz and Boyzone's albums will both drop down the chart like a lead balloon. Boyzone's album this week however has mother's day buyers on its side, as well as it being a tribute album to Stephen so there was definitely hype around it. 'Stylo' was excluded from the chart for reasons I have no idea of. Though it still wouldn't have reached the top 40 even if it was allowed anyway. The problem is this new sound just isn't commercial. It's clear chart success was not on their mind this time and they will definitely bomb down the charts unfortunately. :( And I don't see any songs on the album that will give them a big hit either. Oh well, I love the album (and 'Stylo') anyway.

I dont think any of the above are really 'artist bashing'! I think you have to be careful with the constant theat of warnings and complaning that people are doing this, otherwise people will be scared to post anything. I for one have stopped posting as much and this isnt to do with 'artist bashing', more a case of one of the mods complaining about it all the time. It will get to the stage where people dont wanna post anymore. Back on Track, i hope Sharleen can hold on to the top 20 in albums, even though i dont rate the album all that much!
