Scouting for Girls is now number 1 on iTunes. Jesus wept (but mainly because Delerious? Aren't no.1 yet)

this made me laugh

Did that band always have a question mark at the end of their name, or do I just not recall it from their umpteen flops of the past?

Yes, Delirious? have always had a ?.

Plan B should jump up to #6 fairly soon - I think he still has it in him to go to #2, and there's still a minuscule chance he could overtake Scouting imo.

SFG is a decent #1 - we still haven't got to a point this year where I'm absolutely repulsed by the #1.

It seems to only happen once a year - Alexandra last year, Kid Rock in 08. Who'll be the KR/AB of 2010? Thankfully it never turned out to be If We Ever Meet Again or Baby.

There's definately a dislike for male artists on this forum. Just look at all the pictures and profile pictures, I dont think ive seen a single male artist pic in several months ive used this site. Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce, Cheryl etc rule the roost here.
Mikey was it you who said plan B was going to be #1? Could be #6, quite close..

Hello there

Again, Plan B's EP has been at number 1 on iTunes albums since about half an hour after he was released. Yes album sales in the Album charts of iTunes count for little, but with Single EP's it's different. They do have a fairly decent effect on their positions.

I don't think you can say people dislike male artists because in their sigs there are lots of female artists ;)

I do like some male artists but I have to admit, this year (and also last year) female artists are much stronger.

Im not saying there is anything wrong with it, just pointing out what I see.

I have one in my avatar :P

As I said earlier in another thread, there aren't really many male acts who are having strings of hits like the acts you mentioned. I honestly can't think of any right now, maybe Dizzee Rascal or Timbaland? They're just not as attractive as Rihanna and Beyonce :heehee:

I did understand :)

And I said I don't agree with you, I do think people like a lot of male artists, just at the moment there aren't any really big male artists around, that have big success (apart from Dizzee Rascal, Calvin Harris). Look at the charts, mostly there are female singers in there.

Jason Derulo *cough*my sig*cough* :heehee:

But yeah I have 4 other female artists with him and WHAT!? LOL. They're responsible for some of my favourite songs released this year.

Since when did 2 hits constitute a string :kink:

GaGa, Beyonce, Cheryl, Rihanna have had loads of hits in a row, hence the adoration for them here. There aren't as many male music superstars to be honest - in fact I'm not sure I can think of any other than Justin (Timberlake, not Bieber) who hasn't released any solo material in ages and Kanye, who BuzzJack hates :heehee:

no wonder SFG, they are #2 on airplay!

:heehee: I guess. But Jason will continue going with success for at least another year or 2 imo. He has potential.
