March 21, 201016 yr so Out Of Your Mind was first solo VB song? She was more of a guest singer on that - peaked at number 2 in the summer of '00 by Spiller & Sophie Ellis-Bextor with "Groovejet"
March 21, 201016 yr so Out Of Your Mind was first solo VB song? Yup in 2000, reached #2 against Spiller/Sophie who were #1. It was one of the biggest sales battles of the decade (outside Xmas week), Spiller sold over 200k and Vicki/Truesteppers around 180k. Back when you know, dance music sold a lot
March 21, 201016 yr I hadn't actually heard that Tinnie Tempah song before now. Don't tell me that chiptune has gone overground now? :-(
March 21, 201016 yr I wonder if there's anyone that actually likes or doesn't mind either of them  It was always you preferred one or the other, near where I was. 'Call On Me' and 'Falling Stars' are what kick-started my "obsession" (if you like) with the dance genre. Who knows  I can't stand them, looped 80's house reworkings that was so popular in the mid 00's was one of my pet hates of the dance genre, although there were a few (literally maybe 2 or 3) that I liked, like Sunblock, remember them and their Baywatch theme cover  My dance obsession started with ATB's 9PM (Till I Come) - I liked dance tracks before that but this track made me take notice of the genre, which became my favourite genre for a good 4 or 5 years before pop took over again. 1999-2001 was a golden era for original dance music though.

March 21, 201016 yr This has grown on me from unbearable to passable. Maybe because I've had it beaten in to me constantly for the last few weeks by people playing it at school :drama:
March 21, 201016 yr Can anyone confirm or deny that Tinnie Tempah's song is the first number 1 single to mention Scunthorpe? Edited March 21, 201016 yr by Brett-Butler
March 21, 201016 yr This CHOON is gonna punish ya! Lol, was surprised when Spiller beat it, I actually would've preferred Truesteppers and Vicki at the top I would have hated it, I bought the Spiller single despite it already being on the already available Now 46 (way to reduce sales!) and was so glad they won the battle, with a song which is still played regualrly here now, unlike Out Of Your Mind
March 21, 201016 yr I think it was  Her first proper solo release was "Not Such an Innocent Girl" - It's featured on NOW 50
March 21, 201016 yr My dance obsession started with ATB's 9PM (Till I Come) - I liked dance tracks before that but this track made me take notice of the genre, which became my favourite genre for a good 4 or 5 years before pop took over again. 1999-2001 was a golden era for original dance music though. For me it was 1992-1996 eurodance phase, 1996-2003 trance/house phase, 2004-now no phase

But their videos were always worth a watch (for obvious reasons! LOL). I never liked '9PM (Till I Come)' much. But I've definately grown to appreciate it more as I got older. I think the first ever dance song I ever liked was 'Better Off Alone' That's when I recognised the dance genre, but the genre didn't click with me until 'Call On Me' was released.
March 21, 201016 yr Estelle should be number 1 in the next 2 weeks with her amazing new single 'Freak'... 9rN5XmvRuK0 Edited March 21, 201016 yr by Big Mistake

March 21, 201016 yr Out Of Your Mind was Vicki's first solo outing. She did have a follow-up but it flopped, and the rest is history.
March 21, 201016 yr why Parachute is being played now? EDIT: lol I though I'm hearing Parachute  Edited March 21, 201016 yr by Addy!
