Considering all the bad press she got about her singing voice she did surprisingly well (I think) top 10 hits and a number 2 (i think) album

Her album peaked at #10.

OOYM was #2, NSAIG #6, A mind of its own #6 and LYHG/This Groove #3.

What are its sales now then?

How close are Poker Face and IGF to a million as well, does anyone know?

It's somewhere more than 850k, less than 900k, can't remember the exact amount though.

Poker Face and IGF are both pretty close - 900k+, again, I can't remember the exact amounts.

Any reason 'Fight For This Love' is back?! I don't mind it compared to the godawful other two, '3 Words' is just $h!te and 'Parachute' is the most ordinary, boring pop song I've heard in a loooong time.

Discussion Thread Here

Better Off Alone practically came out the month after 9PM and became my second huge obsession - I still regard both as two of my favourite songs of all time - summer 1999 was stunning for music, and just in general for me really, so feel good

and yet the UK was still behind most of Europe even back then, 9PM came out in 1998 in Germany and some other countries  But at least eventually they were huge hits in the UK, nowadays the same can't be said :(

Mine was the one out Summer 2000. Have no clue which number though :heehee:

Now 46 I would think!

That 2000 chart is a CRIME, beats me how Blink-182 couldn't get a #1 when Limp Bizkit (who I admit are a guilty pleasure ) could a year later.
Who knows  I can't stand them, looped 80's house reworkings that was so popular in the mid 00's was one of my pet hates of the dance genre, although there were a few (literally maybe 2 or 3) that I liked, like Sunblock, remember them and their Baywatch theme cover

My dance obsession started with ATB's 9PM (Till I Come) - I liked dance tracks before that but this track made me take notice of the genre, which became my favourite genre for a good 4 or 5 years before pop took over again. 1999-2001 was a golden era for original dance music though.

I have to say the songs that made me love the Dance genre are Call On Me, Destination Unknown, It Feels So Good & Set You Free  there's another song too but I can't remember what it's called at the moment. I wouldn't call myself an expert on the genre though.

I hope they all hit a million, they all deserve it tbh! I think IGF is closest.

AHHH! Best Now album ever, much? (I know i've said it LOADS of times before, but it's worth repeating haha)

Oooh 'Fight For This Love'. I decided this is possibly my favourite solo Cheryl single now. It's just not getting old for me unlike most of her album.

They managed to get the BMG contracts for one album only so it had a more diverse selection of artists than usual (well until the Hits series went bust and they got all the contracts), but yep Now 50 was brilliant  My favourite Now albums ever though are Now 43 and Now 65, representing my two personal favourite ever periods for music, summer 1999 and late summer/autumn 2006

What's this doing back in the top 40? :o

I assume it'll be Addicted to Bass 2010 or w/e.

Now 33 is the best Now! album, but 1996 was pretty amazing in general really. Special mention to Now 39, plus the artwork was great on that one.

Such a random topic though.
