I really want it to be number 1 :wub: the hate diana gets is abolutely unreal. but it will only go top 5 because:

1. chipmunk is also out on the same week.

2. the general public nowadays are hopeless.

 

I can see this song doing a Girls Cant Catch Echo and getting a mid Top 20 place.Chipmunk for No 1 that week for sure.I think if she gets a lot of hate some of her fans have brought it on her, they border on the absurd.She is only mediocre vocally but good luck to her.

I'm no Diana fan but this is an absolutely brilliant song, I can't get enough of it at the moment and if the album is up to the same standard it's gonna be good.

 

I see no reason why it shouldn't reach #1, but even if it doesn't it will still be extremely close.

I think shes goign to be really successful, i voted top 10, i think top 5 is still possible maybe even higher.

They have invested way too much money in her to allow the single to miss the top 10 for a start. The single is obviously going to be mega, the real test will be to see if she can extend her success beyond that.

After looking at the release schedule and picking potential big hits I've come to the conclusion that Diana Vickers could well end up no. 1 when 'Once' is released.

I think it will go to no.1, for 3 reasons:

 

1. The hype of her being 'That Diana Girl Off X Factor'

2. The inevitable huge promo and airplay because of who she is

3. Lack of competition around at the moment

Chipmunk, at the moment, is being beaten in all areas by Diana, but I'm still fairly certain he'll win the battle for #1 - Diana's voice will put a lot of casual buyers off imo.

 

Once is actually a good song, but her voice is horrible.

Love this song but i also love Chipmunks newie too. I reckon itll go top 3 but it will be beaten by Chipmunk

 

Interestingly, the official chipmunk video has been viewed by 100,000 in less than 3 days on youtube (there are several vids there), Diana has 2 official video pages on YT but its been viewed only 120,000 in 2 and a half weeks. I know it doesnt mean alot as such but i reckon its a sign Chipmunk will end up having the bigger hit (btw i realise there are other Once videos on youtube but most of those have been added over a month ago but she did have a head start)

I don't want to say the same thing as before, but again - would she of even got that role if she was never on X Factor? Those West End productions often get people already famous to some extent, so the answer is probably no.

Dreadful is what the rest of Chipmunks songs are. It's funny you seem to detest that one. I find it the best song that Chipmunk happens to release. :)

This HAS to be number one this week. Diana is here to prove that she should have been in the final instead of Eoghan and, to a lesser extent, JLS. And also that people can still have a big career even if they don't win XF - or even get to the finals.

 

Diana's voice might be irritating to some but i love her "different" vocals and the song itself is insanely catchy and captivating - just like the girl herself :wub:

 

Diana might do a Saturdays and be overtaken by Chipmunk. I think Diana has an incredibly strong fanbase (bigger than JLS and Alex i'd say - or at least on XF) and she's got a lot of hype surrounding her.

I like Chip but Diana should get the #1, imo. Way better song. UYWG is very, very repetitive (yes, I know 'once' is said alot but I swear all of Esmee's lines are 'I didn't know how much I miss you until you were gone, gone, gone") and Chip has already had a few top tens already.

she's doing very well on pre-order singles and itunes videos which is a good sign, but I still see this as a 2 unfortunately. :(
