Why is this track so popular all of a sudden?

John Lewis advert.

I was considering buying it even before seeing the impact it had on iTunes.

And re: PCD, it's sad they have split. They were so fresh and exciting back in 2005/2006. :(

Just noticed Plan B has now overtaken Chipmunk back into #3 - the longevity of She Said has been amazing so far!

I'm not sure what version is used on the advert, I think it might be Fyfe's version, but it's the original that's clearly proved the most popular.

John Lewis adverts have previously generated the #23 hit Sweet Child O' Mine (Guns N' Roses cover obviously) by Taken By Trees if you remember

Hasn't Fyfe's version just been released?

My predictions:

Cascada - Pyromania - Might just scrape top 40.

Faithless - Not Going Home - A chance of reaching Top 40, radio1 are playing this loads.

Foals - This Orient - Flop.

Pendulum - Watercolour Think this will go top 10, I love it, much better than Propane Nightmares and that JUST missed top 10.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Bittersweet - Tail end of top 20, but will quickly fall out of top 40.

Toni Braxton - Yesterday - Tail end of top 40

Aggro Santos feat. Kimberly Wyatt - Candy - Top 20 tops, I don't get the love for this.

Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight - I think will probably reach the tail end of top 10.

Mika vs. RedOne - Kick Ass - Really want this to do well, but I can't see this breaking top 20. Hopefully will got top 40.

TV Rock feat. Rudy - In The Air - Major flop

Looks like She Said might just be this years In For The Kill.

Yes, Plan B could sell 300,000+ with this. Also, I don't have my iTunes MeasurementEquipment™, so I'll do the next update tonight or tomorrow.

Songs I'm liking in the top 50 now

This Ain't A Love Song: #9 + #47

Memories (feat. Kid Cudi): #16

Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart: #24

Hey, Soul Sister: #29

I Am Not A Robot #42

Fireflies (UK Radio Edit) #45

Stereo Love #48

Love Drunk #50

Melody did quit the PCD but they may have talked her round. It would make sense to keep her as she did have the 2nd best vocals in the group, some say she is actually the best vocalist - she just never gets to sing :(

they have not split up there just getting new members

they have not split up there just getting new members

Yes but the original line-up have split.

They all complemented each other with different styles but PCD are ruined now.

Just noticed 'Ridin' Solo' is at #30, Top 40 on Sunday?

She Always A Woman #37 (She's Always A Woman)

Florence & The Machine Florence & The Machine Florence & The Machine Florence & The Machine Florence & The Machine #65 (Florence X5!)

What are Apple on?

What are Apple on?

It's not certain, they just seem to have doubled (or quintupled in Florence's case) the crediting on You've Got The Love, Sex On Fire, Sweet Disposition and Yeah! (Usher) for no reason.

Pendulum - Watercolour Think this will go top 10, I love it, much better than Propane Nightmares and that JUST missed top 10.

PN made #9 ^_^

It is Fyfe's version on the advert

For you Xtina fans, RCA Records are re-releasing Not Myself Tonight tomorrow on Digital Download.

It will be interesting to see how it does second time around.I really like Christina and her voice is one of the best but that video is just too much, she did the Dirty look and needed to come back with somthing classy.I think Sophie and Bittersweet is the only song I am going to download next week.

Next week, I'll be downloading: Candy, Watercolour & Bittersweet. I think Xtina will be top 30 at it's peak.

Yeah Bittersweet's the only one i'm downloading this week.

But that's only because i bought Not Myself Tonight last time it was released. :D

Now the vid for NMT has premiered, it should do a lot better

I hoep Biffy's Bubbles can go at least top 30 officially - it was nearly iTunes top 40 a couple of days ago, down to #51 because of weekend effect though.

If it can make top 40 on iTunes, physicals should get it top 30. Biffy are quite good physical sellers.
