The song is currently featured on a BBC advert I think so should be quite prominent with a lot of people voting. Plus it's quite amazing

I wanted to send it, and its been #1 on my personal chart. Amazing!

I could easily understand a bottom 10 placing for it. It's horrendous.

Shall we rewind to BJSC XXIV where i sent a song that was sung entirely in Finnish? Or perhaps back to XVII for Nevio/Cilmi's part English part Italian duet.

We could also take a look at the last page of my national thread to see that i considered and almost did switch She & Him for Molly Sandén with a song sung entirely in Swedish, as is the rest of her fabulous album Samma Himmel including a gorgeous Swedish version of Hallelujah

That peice of $h!t track could be in English, German, Norsk, Korean, Japanese or Ashtonise. Regardless it'd still be horrific.

I wouldn't mind that

Well it's far better than most of the other songs that seem to be the clear favourites :heehee:

Kat/Akon's song is quite like Sangria's song for me, i.e. really a mixture of generic popular before songs. :(

Alors On Danse has absolutely no chance of finishing bottom five. Millions of Europeans who have made this the biggest selling European single of 2010 can't surely differ that much from the 48 people here :o I'd say top 20 at absolute worst, top 5 at best.
Agreed, it's quite silly to deny its potential just because it's in foreign language or wasn't released in the UK or you don't like it personally (the latter in Phil's case :heehee: ).

My knowledge of Europop songs is not that great. I heard a guy mumbling in a foregin language and thought 'BJSC will surely hate it'. That is not to say I hate it however...

:heehee: you'd think that would be the case but Alors On Danse is really quite entrancing, it's so dry, yet works really well - here is the European chart stats for it thus far;

Austria #1

Belgium Flanders # 1

Belgium Wallonia #1

Canada #63

Czech Republic #10

Denmark #1

Netherlands #1

European Hot 100 Singles #1

Finland #19

France #1

Germany #1

Italy #1

Russia #9

Slovakia #1

Sweden #19

Switzerland #1

and a recent Guardian article regarding the song: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/...euro-pop-anthem

If record companies in the UK do decide to *gasp* play a French language track on UK radio (Radio 1 controllers shudder at the thought that they might have to do this no doubt), then I can't see it failing to go at least top ten here. Really really really really really really good song (in my opinion)

Jonsi at 7th is quite impossible as well  Although he's <3

Don't stop believin'

Jónsi has clearly won TBH
