Any albums where only One or No singles were released?

I have Westlife's recent album "Where we are" which spanned only one single which was "What about now" in late 2009. Another one I can think of is "Today" of Mel B's awful "LA State of Mind" album.

Any other examples?

Pink Floyd scarcely released singles, Dark Side of the Moon, Animals and Wish You Were Here didn't have any singles released from it, and the Wall, their double album, only had 1 single off it.

Led Zeppelin never released a single in the UK, bar a re-release of Whole Lotta Love in 1997.

Manic Street Preachers - Journal for Plague Lovers is the most recent example I can think of.

Norah Jones only released 'Chasing Pirates' off her 4th album 'The Fall' in October last year.

That did have a single, I'm sure

Can't remember what it was called though

Enya is good for this game. Usually only has 1 single or none. Last 2 albums "and winter came" and "very best of" didn't have any I don't think. Kate Bush's "aerial" only had 1 too I think. Quite a lot of GH only get one but not sure that counts in this game
Selena Gomez & The Scene - Kiss & Tell. Had 2 in the US, but only Naturally here in the UK. Also, Kelly Clarkson's My December only spawned Never Again here in the UK

She also released Stuck, and Young Blood will be released at the end of June

But... if they'd never released one, how could they *re*-release it?

I'm pretty sure Kelly also released Don't Waste Your Time. At the very least it was released to radio and music TV channels.

Kate Bush only released "King Of The Mountain" from Aerial I think.

Radiohead - Kid A

Lots of 00s Tori Amos album have had no single in the UK

U2 - Zooropa amazingly had 1 single and that was months after its release

Historically, GH albums only ever contained singles that had already been released. It's only in more recent years that they have contained one or two new tracks - released as singles at the time of the album coming out or in the months afterwards - as a way of getting fans to buy it. Those one or teo extra tracks generally didn't appear on any other album, unlike all the other singles.

There are exceptions to this but that's generally the case.

Manics: Jackie Collins Existential Question Time was a single in my books..It had a video and it got some airplay.

That's the one!

I liked that song.

THAT must be one of the most random campaigns, especially for a band with such a consistent singles history.

mind you, eventually they saw fit to give Get On Your Boot a release. THAT was probably even odder.

Whoever said Selena Gomez, her album just got released five weeks ago. Of course she's only going to have one single out! And as for SuBo, hers wasn't actually released as a single it was just heavily downloaded from her album due to the XF performances.
