June 27, 201016 yr I'm glad Scissors Sisters weren't top 10. There's so many better songs in the chart that deserve to be there. On the other hand, there are s**t things like Frisky & Shout there. :teresa:
June 27, 201016 yr just realised, we have a Glee free chart for the first time since January True. They've been in the chart for ages! December-June! :o I can't think of many other people who've been in the charts for so long recently. I think Black Eyed Peas did May-February, or something. Perhaps Lady Gaga?
June 27, 201016 yr I bet you a fiver, you bin it :lol:Â thats unfair, should've had a record voucher for HMVÂ
June 27, 201016 yr The chart has really sped up again this year hasn't it, nearly all of the past few top 3 hits have rapidly fallen down the chart, with only the really popular few hanging around at the top. 2-5-9 is a very 1999 sort of chart run, in 2008 it would have been 2-2-3...

Born Stefani Germanotta in Yonkers in 1986, she attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU while performing at open-mic nights. A collaboration with rapper/producer Akon led to her signing with Interscope Records, which released her debut album THE FAME in October 2008. She scored a number one hit and a Grammy nomination with "Just Dance," which topped the charts in several other countries, but The Fame truly exploded in 2009 thanks to the single "Poker Face." By 2010, Gaga was one of the biggest stars in the world, aided by her new EP The Fame Monster and its single "Bad Romance." - HMV Video here: niqrrmev4mA Chart history (Year peak title): 2009 01 Just Dance (Lady GaGa Feat. June 27, 201016 yr Wow, LTWYL is much higher than I expected! Thought it'd be #8 at best. Alejandro climbed a couple again :D I really hope it can still go top 5 but it looks unlikely now with the physical out this week :(
June 27, 201016 yr On the other hand, there are s**t things like Frisky & Shout there. :teresa: I actually think Firsky is amazing! I think Shout is okay too. There are a few songs I don't like though. I think Dancing On My Own is my least favourite in the top 40 at the moment. Whoo, Alejandro #8!! I'm also happy because I said Eminem and Rihanna would be well into the top 10, and I was a tad worried I'd be wrong, as I usually am. XD

June 27, 201016 yr Alejandro top 5 next week please! Hopefully Shout and Wavin' Flag will drop out the top 5 to make way for it!
June 27, 201016 yr Alejandro still sounds great  Â the video really hasnt gotten as much publicity as Telephone's- guess I wasnt the only one who was underwhelmed by it -_- Edited June 27, 201016 yr by chart wizard

June 27, 201016 yr Last night she dreamed of San pedro? I used to sing "last night I fell in love with a potato"Â
June 27, 201016 yr I prefer fast charts, slow charts get broing very quickly. Also, fast charts bring up the possibility that a #1 will soon break McFly/Elvis Presley's record drop of 1-20 (we've seen the album record, why not the single one?) Edited June 27, 201016 yr by Bray

Unfortunately, it hasn't led to the richer diversity of music in the charts that I predicted would happen when the turnover increased. Oh well, there's still hope from the 'Glastonbury effect,' if it has much of an impact these days.
