Some top tier journalism by Louis Theroux, will be interesting if the State goes after him now in the same way there’s been a coordinated attack on Kneecap.Really did hone in that a two state solution isn’t going to be likely without major intervention. That’s the problem with Trump. His son in law is very close friends with a settler group and his comments on Gazans needing to leave basically echoes the settlers words that they should just go to other countries. So not only do they have the IDF protecting them beyond that they have the US influence and military protecting them so there is no real way to stop them. It’s just a gradual destruction. Yeah it was good by Theroux I already seen a hit piece in the spectator about his focus on the settlers. When you understand this issue you begin to understand wider politics better. How wealthy zionists buy media organisations on all sides and gain a following then pump propaganda on issues they actually care about when necessary. It’s all very depressing really.
May 1May 1 It’s interesting how there’s a band being held to a higher moral account than politicans who are supporting a state breaking international law.
May 1May 1 Not to be an enormous pessimist but I don't know why people are still acting like a two state solution is likely?Israel means to destroy Palestine and genocide anybody remaining there. Is that not obvious at this point?I feel like everyone is always talking around it as if it wasn't expressly obvious that that is what's happening and all the 'pauses' etc. are just a sadist's idea of letting them think they're safe like a cat playing with a mouse before killing it.

I don't agree with the 'kill your MP' they said - albeit they have apologised for that and while they can say it was out of context. But anyway, they have apologised. But the campaign to basically cancel them is beyond bonkers. Can't see a way Glastonbury stop the booking, despite various figures trying to get them cancelled, as obviously we all know what they will say and rightly so.And Joseph, what you say is exactly right. The path to a two State is only going to happen if the world, or more likely the US makes it happen.
May 6May 6 Hard to watch the news headlines of malnourished children in Gaza due to the Israeli blockade!
May 7May 7 It’s extremely hard to be able to freely comment on what’s happening in Gaza as someone applying for German citizenship because the German Gov take any slight or vague criticism of the actions of the Israeli army and government as Nazi levels of antisemitism. There are some wild mental gymnastics going on here to avoid acknowledging that their commitment to “never again” comes with exceptions
May 20May 20 Glad to see the UK also stopping free trade in protest, hopefully others follow suit, even though this should've been done sooner. I've had to switch off when I hear the news that blockades of aid for Gaza for innocent people are being stopped as it genuinely makes me really upset that this can happen in this day and age. I'm failing to see how any sound person can genuinely say Israel deserve our support after this or that any of this evil is justified.
May 20May 20 Bit like bolting the stadium after the horse has bolted and Israel has firebombed it but ok
May 20May 20 Yeah too little too late but my expectations are so low on this issue that the barest minimum is still a welcome shock
May 20May 20 While I fear it likely is too little too late, it's a welcome step. Israel is on the way to destroying Gaza. Ultimately without the US stepping in, everything we are doing is symbolic. I thought Priti Patel's comments were shameful and highlights how the Tories are in such a hole at the moment. I'd like to think what the world is showing is that if Israwl continues on this path, there's going to be a long way back for them.
May 22May 22 Well Netanyahu actually criticised the leaders suggesting they calm down with the blatant genocide and go back to making it slightly more subtle The audacity is pretty astonishing and really they should be taking further steps like they have done with Russia
May 23May 23 He is one to talk, the destruction he has done to Palestinians is far worse and way beyond reasonable retribution for anything. HE is like the Nazi's.
May 24May 24 It’s mad to think his forefathers prob had to fight the nazis and yet they do what they do now!

May 24May 24 There’ll be plenty of future terrorists the way they are dealing with this situation. Edited May 25May 25 by Steve201

That's why Israel's murderous campaign is so insane. It just stirs up further hatred against their state.

Every day you delay aid probably causes more deaths. Every hospital you make unusable or damage enough increases deaths etc. They know this and that’s why they do it. I’m sure there is a big vested interest in moving the population out for multiple reasons but one is if there’s a true peace deal and the dust settles and everybody remains then you’ll see the true death toll from the last two years which is probably nearer half a million than the reported 55k
