She sings it better than Gaga :kink:

Madge wishes she could sing it better than Gaga, :P

I'd like to see her have a go at that.

'Americano' was played in my Geography class today! The teacher made the streneous link between it and immigration laws between the USA and Mexico!

Is the teacher a he or a she? If the former then he probably just outed himself.

A he. It wouldn't surprise me if that was true!

So Gaga wanted to release Born This Way, Marry The Night, Scheiße then The Edge of Glory? WHY DIDN'T SHE JUST PUT HER FOOT DOWN, it's not like they would've dropped her for not doing what they wanted.

That would've been the strongest set of singles from one album by a female artist since god knows.

Gutted.

She really should of pushed harder to release Scheiße, so disappointing.
I really can't imagine Interscope wanting to push Judas ahead of Marry The Night as the second single  Really wish she'd just gone with her gut feeling, and hope she does so with Artpop.
Triangles is right, I remember when Y&I came out and you could clearly tell that she desperately wanted it to be big and it meant a lot to her, she probably just regrets it now so given a chance to do it again wouldn't release it.

4 years ago, Gaga released this masterpiece. I think the album will always be underrated because it was the first time that she wasn't invincible with the public. But despite that, it is my 2nd favourite album from her (1st if you count 'Monster' as an ep) and favourite era. From what it means to me personally, through the music, videos, fashion, live performances, tour and the way it continued to cement her loyal fans, i doubt there will ever be an era from any artist that i am more invested in than i was here.

A special album in so many ways <3 Happy Born This Day x

Happy Born This Day 🐸

I was so hyped up for this album. Initially I was a bit underwhelmed by it, but it worked its magic on me before long! Personal album track highlights are Heavy Metal Lover, Black Jesus † Amen Fashion, Bad Kids (yes, really!), Hair and Scheiße.

Still easily her best album (as a body of work). It doesn't quite have her highest highs of The Fame Monster (and The Fame) but so much goodness, although it lacks killer hit singles.

'Government Hooker' and 'Heavy Metal Lover' are my two ultimate highlights.

I only can't listen to the unicorn one and the deluxe tracks are poor.

Easily the best of her albums for me and doubting anything of hers topping this! Highway Unicorn
Happy birthday to an amazing album
An incredible album from start to finish if you take out 'Electric Chapel' and 'The Queen'. The latter is possibly her worst song ever.

I've actually started listening to this again recently and it is a fantastic album, a very strong body of work and actually much better than "The Fame", but "Fame Monster" is totally awesome though. As for this though just put aside the total mess of the singles from this era and just look at them for what they are. Looking at this and "TF", this actually has more highlights and a lot more memorable tracks, and if this was handled correctly, then it could have further extended her success, leaving on from the massive success of the last era and it's EP and would went out with a bang, instead of getting off to a promising start and getting everybody excited, but as it went on people started losing interest with each release and then just kinda ended without much notice or interest.

This was a very important point in her career which needed to be handled carefully and more importantly listen to what people actually wanted. Looking at Artpopchris's post regarding the original singles run and that was simply spot on, so why didn't this happen, I mean this would have been incredible and okay I'm not saying that it would have matched the same level of success as the last era, but surely it would have done a hell of a lot better than the original run of singles.

Starting off with "Born This Way" was the obvious way to go and it may have not being loved by everyone, but it was still a massive success and did top several charts worldwide and will always be cited as one of her signature tunes and it did get heavily hyped and got people interested in what was to come next.

Then having album track "Hair" as a promo single was another great move and became highly popular and charted really well worldwide.

But it started to wrong when she decided to bring out "Judas" as the 2nd single, okay I do love the song, but it was just the wrong move and released too soon. However if "Marry The Night" was released 2nd, then that could have been a different story and further continued the success.

"The Edge Of Glory" as single 3 , yes it did save the era at that point and smashed, imagine if "MTN" and "TEOG" released side by side. that would have been brilliant and having those 2 in the charts at the same time would have been brilliant.

Then that could have been followed by "SchieBe" as the 4th single, instead of "You & I" which pretty much killed the era and forever lost everybody's interest. But if "SchieBe" got brought out then that would have been seen as a controversial move and made things very interesting. As for "You & I" it was successful in the USA and should have just left it for that market.

Finally now release "Judas" as the 5th single, especially with that video and controversy would have been a much more interesting and fitting end. Or maybe release a 6th single if this would have worked out. Releasing "MTN" at this point was too little too late and it's performance proved that, just wrong timing.

On the whole my highlights on this album "Marry The Night", "Born This Way", "Government Hooker", "Judas", "ScheiBe", "The Edge Of Glory", "Hair", "Highway Unicorn"
