September 22, 201014 yr this song is just horrific. the chorus in particular is embarassing. it's easily one of the best of the year. I love urban music at the moment, but this song is just something special. It definitely reminds me of Hey Ya! - whether it gets to #1 or not, I can see this song having long lasting appeal like hey ya... the production on this is immense.
September 22, 201014 yr I can definatly understand the Hey Ya comparisments, on paper it probably shouldnt really work but it ends up being absouletly brilliant. Cant quite decide yet as to wherever I prefer it to the sublime Crazy yet but it's getting there.
September 23, 201014 yr This is definitely amazing. F**k > Forget. Time for a little personal chart plug  It got a solitary week at #1 on my chart last week but has now been pushed down to #3 by 2 even more amazing songs (Miami 2 Ibiza and Perfect Stranger). Hopefully this can beat Shame to #1 but I still don't see it despite the whole '2 fake versions in the iTunes top 100' thing. It better not be released early by 1 week though, because I really want Written In The Stars to go to #1. Edited September 23, 201014 yr by ~ braysephone ~
September 23, 201014 yr This could easily be the best hit of 2010, its only today I took the plunge to see what all the fuss was over the track, I you tubed it and I'm easily hooked, not usually my cup of tea, its got all the motown vibe over it, and it just reminds me of a Jackie Wilson track "You Love Keeps Lifing Me (Higher & Higher)" without the swear words. I hope the track gets released on Sunday.
September 24, 201014 yr THIS!!! It's just good imo, everyone's making out like it's the new Bad Romance or something  And don't even get me started on Crazy, god I hate that song :puke: Why are soem people here alway reffering Bad Romance or Telephone as a model of perfect song? They are great, but there are much better
November 10, 201014 yr Is there SERIOUSLY not a thread for the album? The intro to Love Gun makes me do Moopydisco eyes.
November 10, 201014 yr Bright Lights Bigger City is the best thing on there, F*ck You aside. That production  it's like Nintendo scoring a tribute to the 80's movie! Love Gun isn't even on the version I downloaded from Amazon  Looks like it's only on the deluxe iTunes version in the UK, they replaced it with Forget You here.
November 13, 201014 yr Bright Lights Bigger City is incredible. 'It's OK' (second single AFAIA) is just like a carbon copy of FY minus gratuitous swear words :(
February 24, 201114 yr Bright Lights Bigger City is now getting shown on the music channels today as a premier like every hour or so. Love this BTW hope it goes top 40. Realistically top 3. Edited February 24, 201114 yr by Rob Summers
February 25, 201114 yr Heard the f*** you version for the first time ever the other day. The f*** you version is bad. The word f*** just doesn't go with the song at all.
February 25, 201114 yr I guess it depends on which version you heard first. I heard F*ck You first and never listen to Forget You, I feel the complete opposite in that 'Forget' feels rather shoehorned in with the second syllable.
February 25, 201114 yr f*** You sounds so much better because it's far more emphatic a message than Forget. Maybe I'd feel differently if I first listened to Forget You...
February 26, 201114 yr I think I'm the odd one out here... I heard Forget You first on the radio which first caught my attention for the song as it's pretty damn catchy! Then I youtubed f*** You to see of it was the same song just with different words and it instantly impacted me more. I just find that in this song, f*** has much more power that Forget you which really MAKES the song for me as I believe the meaning behind it is quite forceful! That said, I would willing listen to either for the slight variety and have both on my iPod. :P
March 24, 201114 yr Does anyone else think Satisfied is one of the catchiest songs ever and should definitely be the next single after Bright Lights? I literally can't stop playing it!
March 24, 201114 yr I think it's time for a rate: 09 The Lady Killer Theme (Intro) 11 Bright Lights, Bigger City 10 Forget You 09 Wildflower 06 Bodies 08 Love Gun 10 Satisfied 07 I Want You 08 Cry Baby 07 Fool For You 07 It's OK 10 Old Fashioned 07 No One's Gonna Love You 05 The Lady Killer Theme (Outro) ----------------------------------- 09 Everybody Loves You (Baby) 08 Scarlet Fever
