One in a Million, is still a lead single, i think when two songs are released before an album both are lead singles, and the second is of more importance..

And Ne-yo has failed by launching the album off the back of OIAM! :drama:

I hope The Saturdays Beat NE-YO and get number one :)

And i hope Pixie Beats Ne-Yo in the album charts, she wont beat kings of leon though!

P.S you can pre-order The Saturdays/Higher Flo Rida from their website (signed copy) or order 4 versions from itunes.

Won't there be 6 versions on iTunes? There'll be the single, 7th Heaven, Fascination, Stonebridge and Ultimate versions, plus the album version which is already up for download, I think. I could be wrong.

I would say The Saturdays have much more competition from Nadine and Roll Deep as well a Ne Yo.

Wasn't 'Beautiful Monster' the lead single? Or is it so forgettable (non no. 1 :kink: ) that even you have already forgotton the song exsists.

As for the "death weeks", I often think these are blown slightly out of proportion. Roll Deep vs. Nadine vs. Ne-Yo vs. Tinchy vs. McFly vs. Saturdays. Already I can only see two definites; Roll Deep and Nadine. Tinchy was #10 with 'In My System' so this new single would have to be excellent for Tinchy to outpeak his last single. McFly may go low top 10 with physicals on their side but Kylie might miss the top 10 this Sunday so McFly could also fall short. The Saturdays are on iTunes now but stalling - surely if 'Higher' was so popular it'd be selling like hot cakes now rather than in 4 weeks time. It's not like a video hasn't been released. I suspect The Sats will have already peaked by this particular week.

Of course I could be completely wrong and McFly end up #1. :P

For me, the lead single is the single which "opens" the album. And that is 'One in a Million'.

Obviously that the whole 'death week' thing is a bit of exaggeration. But when all those releases are out the same week it's pretty impressive. The charts will be fast in the coming weeks with a lot of big releases and some surprises from X-Factor field.

The Saturdays song is either going to be one of those which float around top-15-20 for ages but fail to get top-10, or it will need to get top-10 not during the release week. I don't think they will get high peak with this. But they will get very healthy sales instead.

The strongest contenders for 1st Nov for me are Roll Deep (if released), Nadine and Ne-Yo. McFly, Tinchy, Saturdays and probably Alexis Jordan + a surprise song (there are always some surprises when we predict something in 2-4 weeks) will do well too, but they are not the main contenders. And don't forget, Cheryl and Rihanna will be on their 2nd weeks, and I'm sure the sales for them will be high too.

Could Cee-Lo green beat Robbie & Gary to #1? F You seems a lot more popular right now, and seeing it on the TV endlessly whereas i havent seen shame anywhere recently..

Mcfly feature Taio Cruz on their next song- I think that will help them a lot, a bit like Eminem this era really, with Not Afraid he had a decent hit, he gets a song with Rihanna and hes got a total smash! I think McFly could do better with this song than Party Girl

as for the rest of them, I think Roll Deep arent certainties, three number 1s, I would never have thought that, but it could I suppose, Nadine I thinks the most likely one, supposing she gets an XF slot, it could well be number 1- Higher could be big when the real version is out, but it may have already ran out of steam by then- I definitely dont think it will be number 1

Cee-Lo will probably beat them on downloads, but Robbie and Gary will have huge physicals and big downloads too- so I think they may just get it

I really don't mind what's number 1 next week as both popular new releases (robbie and gary & cee-lo) are quite shit imo. would much rather have tinie get a second week at number 1. -_-
I will literally jump through the roof with joy if Cee-Lo beats Robbie and Gary. FU is just OK imo, but far better than Shame :puke:
The Cee-Lo track is amazing. I just really he beats Robbie and Gary. I think he's on physicals too.

Kings of Leon's single is supposedly released this Sunday as well, last thing I saw it had been moved forward. I would have thought that both Cee-Lo and Robbie & Gary would be looking at near 100k so KoL would have to DOUBLE "Sex On Fire"'s first week total to stand any chance. It's a shame as "Radioative" is really growing on me and I think could have beaten Joe a week later.

The week of 8th November looks interesting - it's one on from everyone's supposed "death week" and the week before JLS get an inevitable non-#1. So sales could have a bit of a lull, I'm hoping it's enough for My Chemical Romance to go at least top 10.

Some of the upcoming songs are really badly promoted. I've not heard the songs by KOL, Joe or Robbie and Gary yet on the radio (although they don't really rely on radio airplay to succeed, in all fairness, people will buy their songs regardless)! :o I've seen the videos for Radioactive and Shame on TV though.

I'd love Miami 2 Ibiza to get #1 next week. It's total awesomeness.

I think that Roll Deep will get a No.1 knowing how the chart works out for urban acts. But the urban No.1s now just stay a week at no.1

But almost every #1 this year has only had a week at #1. Most pop #1s now just stay a week at #1 too (although a lot of the #1s are both pop and urban).

End Credits (Chase and Status) at #74? Where'd this come from?

it pops in and out of the top 100 every now and again :P

not sure why, could it just be selling on merit? would be good
