Tons of people on here opt to take this moral highground yet many offend tons of artists on a daily basis ("Justine Beaver", "Biffa" etc) but just because they haven't died, it's fine and moral. -_- The hypocrisy is humungous.

 

I agree with that. Whenever Justin Bieber, JLS, etc. are in the charts, people here can get VERY nasty. :(

No, he's saying that he says something wrong, and gets criticized for it (fair enough), but then those same people completely ridicule people like JLS, and nobody cares. Should people tell others off for making nasty jokes, when they do the same thing themselves? His point wasn't about the magnitude of the statements, but about the fact that they're all cruel. I think making fun of celebrities, whether through sexist, racist, homophobic, etc. means, or celebrating when the celebrity suffers, or making fun of their names (a common technique used in bullying, btw) is wrong. I think that's completely unacceptable, in exactly the same way as making jokes about 9/11 is unacceptable. It's like how being a murderer is worse than being racist, but both are unacceptable.

 

It seemed crystal clear to me that he wasn't saying that using cruel nicknames was equal to thousands of people dieing.

 

And please don't be silly. We all know people make fun of Justin Bieber's name because they don't like him. I've not seen anybody make fun of Katy Perry, or Lady Gaga's name.

Actually, Barbra Streisand does have a female vocal. The 'wooooooo' part is sampled from Boney M. But the actual personnel of Duck Sauce are both male.

The chart is insane atm! So much moving and climbing around. Massive sales :o I really want Joe to get high up before TXF but I doubt it now... I just really like the song and him. I never expected him to be as huge as Leona or Alexandra but still...

I know Joe will inevitably shoot up after XF, but thats not a great start for him- I will await to see how he does without XF
