November 4, 201015 yr I somehow see the weekend effect going in favour for the Saturdays, as they were climbing the previous weeks on Friday/Saturday. At the same time, Will is going to overtake them, I think, and even if they overtake 'Stay' they will still be at #11... Anyway, we'll see.
November 4, 201015 yr We have only been discussing the figures, and that's what this thread is made for. I don't understand the need to come in the thread and bash people who support her. Low.
November 4, 201015 yr Believe me im not a loon, not even a fan lol. I was just stating that any sales over 100,000 are very good first weeks sales, no matter what the competition was.
November 4, 201015 yr Author Can we not go into Cheryl hate mode, I did say pardon the pun plus I wasn't having a pop at the artist, the offending posts have been removed. Stick to the thread in question.
November 4, 201015 yr I take it there is no point asking where Ed Drewett is? I bet he barely scraped the top 100 :(
November 4, 201015 yr Good for Cheryl. LOLZ majorly @ Nadine. Poor song, poor effort. Pleasing. Poor Saturdays however :(
November 4, 201015 yr If anyone is interested, Saturdays (19.3k) are about 200 behind #10, and 1k ahead of #12. Looks like The Sats chance of a top 10 is gone:- Will.I.Am should definitely reverse the 1k gap, given he's top 10 on iTunes and benefitting quite a bit from the top 10 effect;Duck Sauce are still top 10 and are selling more per day than The Sats [400 more y/day]; only way that will stop is if Ne-Yo boots Duck out fo the top 10 on iTunes;Stay is probably quite far ahead at the moment and there's the X Factor repeat tomorrow evening, plus the Saturday show [which, although it won't feature another performance from Cher of the song, will help stabilise any drop off in sales for Stay] So I make them @ #12 unfortunately. Shame because Higher is great [especially the Flo version] and deserves top 10. :(

Bert, there have been occasions where you have complained that people are only talking about one artist in particular so i don't know how you can say that.
November 4, 201015 yr Ofcourse over 100,000 sales is brilliant! :w00t: I just thought Cheryl Cole, the huge star she is (and i'm a fan of btw) would be getting sales for her album higher then say 150,000 that is all. Calm down people, Cheryl Cole is going to be #1 and is selling really well, i was just thinking up against big competition she may not get the #1 album, but when it comes to single she can beat nearly anyone

November 4, 201015 yr Im curious who you mean by competition though becuase only 3 or 4 acts can compete with her first week album sales this year. Well other X Factor related acts such as Leona Lewis, JLS, Alexandra Burke (i think she did) have all had bigger album sales 1st week. The 3 other acts this year obviously would have won, Robbie, Kings of Leon & Eminem. So they are all 'bigger' competition. And it may be the 4th highest now but with all the huge albums coming out in the upcoming weeks it could drop to low top 10 or out of top 10 altogether by end of year. Just thought the huge star Cheryl is, and the huge sales she gets for first week single sales (so far with FFTL and PT) i just thought her album sales would be a little higher, again they are still high so shes doing brilliantly! B)

B) I totally understand what you you are trying to say but I dont get why you thought it would be as high as 150,000. Even her debut wasnt that high and that had much bigger hype with a much bigger single. Plus albums released in the 4 quarter esp December always have bigger first week sales. Cheryls album prob would have got over 150,000 if it was released in December.
November 4, 201015 yr Even with her debut album i expected more, even though again great sales dont get me wrong. I just think she's stronger in the singles chart then the albums chart i would say. Also i expect same sales as her debut too in the long run, so good times for cole!
November 4, 201015 yr Aw, poor Sats! Although let's face it, sales are more important than chart positions right now. And they are still selling very good. Great sales for Cheryl aswell.
November 4, 201015 yr Shame Sats look set to miss top 10 but I'm sure Higher will sell more in the long run than a fair few of their other singles (well, ITIL and Work at least)

They have promotion today.. 2 tv shows tommorow.. xtra factor on saturday and freeshly squeezed.. weekend effect will benefit them aswell. It's gonna be a close call this week.. less than 200copies.. if it's more than 500 by tommorow it will be over but Stay will drop out of top 10 it looks like.

Pop acts are normally more singles acts then album acts anyway.

It's 'They are'. -_- Grammar complaint over, I can't really see the Sats getting top 10 no matter what happens
November 4, 201015 yr Sorry Bray :( I think they will! Physicals are on there peak on saturday! and Depending on where they are tonight it will give an indication.
November 4, 201015 yr Is the Flo Rida version of Higher being counted as a new entry? And has Chris Isaak left the top 40?
