November 29, 201014 yr Yes, it is. Not that she has to be 'excused' for gently kind of breaking the so-called "rules" of a TV show. She basically asked Dermott to go back to her after the other judges so she would send it to deadlock and ultimately to the PUBLIC CHOICE. But then Dermott didn't come back to her. I don't get why people think that makes her miserable or a bad judge ... 'OH GOSH, SHE HADN'T THE BALLS TO GET RID OF ONE OF HER OWN TALENTED ACTS!!!' ... Well, I liked that and the fact she was strong enough to say NO to Dermott when she felt that way. She's not just a robot acting on demand. I know the case is old now, but I just don't get why it lead to such a vendetta against her. As a judge on a talent show, it's her JOB to pick the better contestant, regardless of who's category they are in. Inevitably, it's not the judge/mentor who is the winner, it's the contestant. THAT'S why she should have chosen one of them.
November 29, 201014 yr Unfortnatley I think a Matt win is a foregone conclusion now. Disgraceful. Really? Because I think a One Direction win is now almost a forgone conclusion. And bizzarly I think I'd actually prefer that to be honest.
November 29, 201014 yr If One Direction DO win, they need to get a single out there by March, rather than waiting until October, to prevent a Joe style flop. I'm not saying rush release the album, but at least keep them in the public eye throughout 2011.
November 29, 201014 yr 4 of them will get record deal's now anyway Cher Rebecca Matt One Direction them 4 will 100% get a record deal will be like 2008 where 4 got deal's Alexandra (winner) Jls Eoghan (Deal but flopped) Diana And to be honest i think cher will prob do the best after the winner or if the winner flop's like joe cher will do the best whether you love or hate her you have to admit that Edited November 29, 201014 yr by Brooke_x

Inevitably, it's not the judge/mentor who is the winner, it's the contestant. THAT'S why she should have chosen one of them. But to be fair to Cheryl, usually when both their acts are in the bottom 2, they are asked to vote last. I really don't know why they changed that this year. (Although I'm guessing they asked Louis straight away, just so they didn't get a backlash of Cole fans writing in or whatever saying "It's not fair Cheryl was asked first to vote!" etc...) I thought it was a bit harsh asking both her AND Louis to be the first to vote out when both their acts were bottom 2.
November 29, 201014 yr It's not too early, the people voting for Matt are the same who vote for the likes of Joe and Leon.... those who wont buy his music. On the contrary, he (as well as Rebecca) is one of the first X-Factor contestants whose album I'd be interested in buying. And besides being a man, I don't know how you can compare him to Leon or Joe. Leon was not talented and Joe didn't appeal to women as much and more of a westend musical style.
November 29, 201014 yr I don't care who wins, even if my favourite (Rebecca) were to win I'd just be like 'oh that's nice'. None of them really excite me like the way say Alexandra, Leona or Stacey did. They just either bore me, don't appeal to me or have a pretty unlikeable personality.
November 29, 201014 yr 4 of them will get record deal's now anyway Cher Rebecca Matt One Direction them 4 will 100% get a record deal will be like 2008 where 4 got deal's Alexandra (winner) Jls Eoghan (Deal but flopped) Diana And to be honest i think cher will prob do the best after the winner or if the winner flop's like joe cher will do the best whether you love or hate her you have to admit that I don't think you would be far wrong there. I see Matt as the winner. Rebecca will charm off some delightfully dull, middle of the road, boring background music soul record that will probably sell quite well but will also be painfully dull. Cher will probably have a similar career to Cher...probably a #1 single, an ok-selling album, then she will disappear for a few years before appearing in the porn industry. One Direction - idk. They're different to JLS in that JLS were not Simon's puppies whereas One Direction are. The fact they are young and naive and probably won't want to speak their mind over Simon might hamper them. But if Simon likes an act he can market and support them very well so idk. Their one downfall is that the boyband fad will be over in a year or twos time probably..
This is exactly how I feel. It's just not going to be a very exciting final! Yes, some of them have good voices etc. but someone with the 'X Factor' needs to have more than that. And none of them really seem to imo. Perhaps Cher at a push, although even she's a bit on and off for me.
November 29, 201014 yr One Direction will essentially be five Justin Biebers singing Wanted songs. Like Roo says, that will last for a couple of years max. Cher I can see probably WOULD have a long career, but personally I can't stand the wretch, so I'm Matt all the way (and I COULD actually see myself buying his record, being a loon for any old MOR $h!t).
November 29, 201014 yr yeah, Cher, One Direction, Matt and Rebecca should have decent (if quick, in OD's case) careers- they've never had an artist like Cher before, she could be good and tbh I dont agree with the Matt comparisons to Leon or Joe- he's far better and more versatile than both of them, Rebecca could do good as well appealing to the older audience, but shes not really my thing
November 30, 201014 yr What sort of music do people think Cher could put out? I don't think she would be taken that seriously as a rapper - she could possibly pull of mainstream 'urban' sort of music, but as far as I'm aware she has no background in any kind of rap/grime/urban scene (does she???), not that that is necessarily important but people like Tinchy Stryder are sometimes slagged off for selling out - is Cher credible in the first place? Maybe something like Betty Boo, but then again, would Cher want to make such fun, quite poppy music? And, does she have the sort of songwriting talent that Alison Clarkson has? She could potentially be a similar sort of artist to Fergie (a mix of ballads and swaggery rap lite), especially if will.i.am produced her, but that wouldn't be the 'fresh' and 'individual' style people seem to think Cher has, she'd be another wannabe 'urban music' star - the new Jentina???!!! Nothing interesting there. I think she needs to take a couple of years, work a lot on her vocals, learn to write songs, work out her style, and then she could possibly be a decent artist. 'Cher Lloyd - X Factor Winner 2010' will not, in my opinion, be very good at all. She is only 17 - time for her to improve, but if she takes the X-Factor winners/Cheryl Cole lite road, she won't have a chance to mature as a credible artist like, say, Will Young did after he won.
November 30, 201014 yr Madonna theme predictions: Cher - Material Girl or Bad Girl Mary - Don't cry for me Argentina Rebecca - American Pie or Beautiful Stranger Matt - Hung Up One Direction - Crazy for you
November 30, 201014 yr Spoilers? ERGH! Madonna Theme? :puke: Rebecca should do 'Frozen' actually! And Cher will no doubt get the vile 'Vogue', 'Give It To Me' or 'Music' :puke: I wouldn't mind '4 Minutes' though.
November 30, 201014 yr I'd  Rebecca to sing BS or AP! Deffo something upbeat, maybe Like A Virgin, Like A Prayer or maybe even Ray Of Light or Music? I can deffo see Cher doing Give It To Me, Celebration, Revolver, 4 Minutes or Hung Up, but I'd love her to do Frozen as another Stay moment, to propel her to the final
November 30, 201014 yr There is no theme this week. They will be singing 1 ballad and 1 up-tempo song. Mary`s ballad will be The Way We Were by Streisand -confirmed by her on Irish radio yesterday (so it`s a bye bye to her on Sunday then)
November 30, 201014 yr Has it been confirmed whether it will be a double or single elimination ? I hope it's a single. I want Cher to make the final and sing Turn My Swag On
November 30, 201014 yr Yeah I think they should eliminate one this Sunday, then one on the Saturday, then there will be 3 on the Sunday final (with one of the 3 leaving straight away on the Sun)
November 30, 201014 yr It's not too early, the people voting for Matt are the same who vote for the likes of Joe and Leon.... those who wont buy his music. No they're f***ing not. Matt is a real musician, a talented singer, and a man's man. He is nothing like Joe or Leon. I am voting for him and I would buy his records - but I would prefer him not to win, as I don't think Syco would handle him well.
