January 2, 201115 yr Awww. A 9 year-old wants Rihanna for #1.   I'd've probably been like that with Steps at that age.
January 2, 201115 yr Author 7 (from 7) Take That - The Flood [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2755985.JPG Chart Run: 2-2-6-12-15-6-7-7 [8 wks] Release date: 08-11-2010 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 2755985 Label: Polydor Every decade has a teenybopper band that takes the charts by storm, and the early 1990s saw Take That picking up in the U.K. where '80s American teen stars New Kids On The Block left off. Led by songwriter and lead vocalist Gary Barlow, Take That hit it big with a mixture of dance-pop and heart-tugging ballads. After Robbie Williams's departure in 1995, the group held on long enough to release a greatest-hits package before calling it quits. Take That, minus Williams, re-united in 2006 for an unlikely but triumphant return to the centre stage with hit singles and albums, multiple music award gongs, as well as critical reappraisal. TT's 2009 The Circus Live tour became the fastest-selling in UK history. - HMV Video here: aCHg5r6rFoI track listing 1. The Flood 2. January 2, 201115 yr Why does the radio edit cut out the word 'slizzered?' I didn't realise this was a rude word. I didn't even realise it was a word. It's a US slang word meaning drunk. I've never heard it before so I've no idea if it would be like saying pissed (surely cut out) or hammered (probably not)?
January 2, 201115 yr 6th week in the top 10 for The Flood :D Anyway, I might be wrong about this but I believe the last time a song had 5 consecutive weeks in one position outside the top 3 was Take That's Rule The World which spent 5 straight weeks at #83 in mid-2008. January 2, 201115 yr Stay Too Long, She Said and Love Goes Down. :) stay too long sounded amazing when i heard it out on NYE!!
January 2, 201115 yr in its two runs in the top 10, Take That have been at 6 twice before going to a different positions and staying there for two weeks
January 2, 201115 yr By my reckoning there are only two possible outcomes for the top 6... 1 Matt 2 Rihanna/Drake 3 BEP 4 Rihanna 5 Ellie 6 Katy What else could it be other than this? EDIT: Oh, Rihanna is #6 so it must be: 1 Matt 2 Rihanna/Drake 3 Katy :o 4 BEP 5 Ellie 6 Rihanna EDIT2: OR: 1 Matt 2 Katy 3 BEP 4 Rihanna/Drake 5 Ellie 6 Rihanna EDIT3: OR: 1 Katy 2 Rihanna/Drake 3 BEP 4 Matt 5 Ellie 6 Rihanna Edited January 2, 201115 yr by ★ 2011 Bray ★
January 2, 201115 yr By my reckoning there are only two possible outcomes for the top 6... And neither of them have Suede as a shock re-entry at number one :(
January 2, 201115 yr Why does the radio edit cut out the word 'slizzered?' I didn't realise this was a rude word. I didn't even realise it was a word. Do they?! I wasn't concentrating, so I don't know. However, I do know they censor the "word" "sizzurp". I wikipedia'd it, and apparently it's a "recreational drug popular in the hip hop community". Apparently T.I., Kanye West, Eminem and Drake have all referred to it in a song too. Coincidentally, these 4 have also all had top 2 hits in the past 3 years with Rihanna. Edited January 2, 201115 yr by Eric_Blob

January 2, 201115 yr 6 (from 6) Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/2755511.JPG Chart Run: 2-1-1-4-5-7-5-7-6-6 [10 wks] Release date: 25-10-2010 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 2755511 Label: mercury A green-eyed beauty with a sultry voice, Rihanna was discovered as a teenager on her island home of Barbados, and quickly signed with the venerable Def Jam records. Powered by a Soft Cell sample, her infectious dancehall/Caribbean single "Pon de Replay," from her album the MUSIC OF THE SUN, became the summer jam of 2005, peaking at number two on the charts. By 2006 she had become a worldwide sensation, and her second album, A GIRL LIKE ME, went platinum, boosted by a Nike ad song, guest appearances on ALL MY CHILDREN, and a film part in BRING IT ON: ALL OR NOTHING. Further success followed with 2007's double platinum GOOD GIRL GONE BAD, which spawned the all conquering "Umbrella" - topping the UK singles chart for ten weeks in the summer of that year. - HMV Video here: pa14VNsdSYM Chart history (Year peak title): 2005 02 Pon De Replay 2005 11 If It's Lovin' That You Want 2006 02 S.O.S. 2006 02 Unfaithful 2006 17 We Ride 2007 01 Umbrella (Rihanna Feat. January 2, 201115 yr So many non-movers in the top ten, although didn't the post xmas chart 2002/first of 2003 have 8 non-movers with only One True Flop and Cheeky Girls swapping places at #2 and #3? I specifically recall Love Inc's Your A Superstar spending a huge amount of weeks at #7!
