Britney's number 1 is now officially gone, her manegment is the worst ever, whatever.

Adele - Rolling In The Deep #2 & #99.

Aggro Santos Like You Like #12

Wretch 32 - Traktor #16 & #51

Jodie Connor - Now Or Never #33

Diddy - Coming Home #38

LMAO. Weren't people predicting iTunes would CRASH from everyone wanting to download Britney? Some of the loons on here...

Everyone's getting prepared to buy it Tonight  iTunes will be messy all day

Re the Britney release being brought forward, I'd be astonished if, like Bray says, they didn't bring it forward primarily due to unprecedented demand.

A secondary reason for bringing it forward to this week (instead of e.g. next week) might be the Britney episode but I doubt very much that would be a major reason.

I just wonder if there may be some label politics that prevented them releasing it today, along with all the other new releases - e.g. to not overshadow another newly released song that is on the same label, or same group of labels. Now I'm not sure what label Adele, etc are on but say if they were on the same label as Britney then that might very well be the reason Britney was delayed - they *know* she's going to have massive sales regardless of what day she's released (and that's more than likely the overriding factor for her as she's so established, they'll just be wanting massive revenue from her over a peak position) so they want to ensure a higher peak position for "newer" artists as that is more crucial in establishing them insofar as the advertising (e.g. #1 single, etc) and the public's perception.

This may even extend to Bruno (to give him a 2nd week @ #1) or acts lower down such as Aggro / Wretch to give them a better chance at e.g. top 10 / top 5.

I actually remember something similar happening with Leona's Forgive Me - released on a Monday in a very competitive week (e.g. Britney's "3" also out that week, as was Beyonce's IIWAB). I'm sure the release date for that was changed at some point, and the only reason I can think of is that Leona's "FM" was "sabotaged" peak position wise to ensure a higher peak for Britney/Beyonce, as the label deemed that to be more important/crucial for them as opposed to Leona.

I think the biggest problem Britney will have whenever it's released is that the song is pure $h!te.

The only thing thats going to be a mess is this thread... all week

I think I may keep clear of this thread for a few days as I can imagine all the loon being even more unbearable than now

I can't see Britney NOT being #1 on iTunes and very quickly too - the chart performance around the globe is the only *real* indicator we have and that's overwhelmingly conclusive IMO.

Britney / Glee

257. Toxic (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

282. Baby One More Time (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

387. I'm a Slave 4 U (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

573. Me Against the Music (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

597. Stronger (Glee Cast Version) - Glee Cast

685. Hold It Against Me (Britney Spears Tribute) - True Stars

723. Hold It Against Me (Britney Spears Tribute) - True Stars

751. Toxic - Britney Spears

848. Everytime - Britney Spears

998. Womanizer - Britney Spears

Britney will be lucky to get Top 5 IMO. If she does though, she wont touch the Top 3, not this week anyway...

I think people are hyping the song up a bit too much tbh. Just because its #1 in pretty much every other Country doesn't necessarily mean it will get to #1 in the UK. iTunes certainly wont CRASH just because Britney's been added either.

Britney will soar ahead like she's done everywhere else in the world, even with that poor song. There is no doubt ;)
Didn't Womanizer go number 1 on it's first day everywhere else just not here?
Yeah Womaniser didin't go number one On Itunes here ! Not even after XFactor!

Yeah. After all, Alors on danse only got to #25 on here.

But this is Britney Spears, and the song is in English, so I think it'll do very well nonetheless. Not sure about #1 this week though.

No. Womanizer had like 4-5 number ones, HIAM 17

Well she performed on xfactor very late, the song was out 3 weeks already. With that performance she got new peak #3.

Yeah. After all, Alors on danse only got to #25 on here.

Yeah i agree, it'll certainly do well, just not as well as people are expecting/hoping for, imo. :)

well done RCA! they start off by messing up diana, and then they move onto avril after her comeback. I think they need some education.
