Think: Tinie

Just as long as it isn't Olly, SFG or Matt I'll not be too worried really.

It's no wonder the chart is plagued with American artists when this is the best our once great nation has to offer for the year.

Anywayz I'd like Tinie Tempah to win shockingly as it really grew on me and was just so different to everything else in the same genre last year. I'd rather have Florence but that song choice is not to my taste. Dog Days was far more spectacular in comparison.

As for the win I think it'll be The Wanted.

They really need to get rid of the airplay aspect of this award. We already know that radio is completely biased towards X Factor acts, hence why so many of them are up for this award. Olly Murs, Cheryl Cole and Alexandra Burke wouldn't be up without airplay and they can be replaced with better and more representative songs.

Your Song and The Flood would have been up if it was based on sales only, but I guess they didn't have enough time to build airplay compared to the others. Not sure why Pack Up isn't here though - it's the 6th biggest-selling British single of 2010 and surely its airplay wasn't that bad to knock it out completely?

And they should really ban the X Factor's winners single from being nominated every year - it makes the award look even more of a joke than it is anyway. Couldn't give a toss if it's the best-selling British song of 2010 - not like it sold on its own merit like the rest of the songs listed.

In terms of a winner that really represents 2010 in mainstream British music, I don't think you could really argue against Tinie Tempah. But this award is always about who has the most obsessive stans so a shoot-out between The Wanted, Alexandra Burke, Olly Murs etc is more likely. Sigh.

My favourite here is probably Taio Cruz or Florence though, but both have no chance.

how do you make a poll? i made the previous brit award 2011 british single poll but the poll didn't show up!

I think really it's between Tinie and The Wanted, with Plan B with a small chance aswell perhaps.

My own choice would be Alexandra Burke, but I'd be perfectly happy with Plan B, The Wanted or Olly Murs aswell.

Think - Plan B.

Want - Tinie Tempah.

Think: Tinie

Want: Alexandra/Cheryl

I think and want it to be Tinie Tempah other than Flo along with dynamite they are the only decent ones there. I'm very shocked Take That were not nominated as that song has been everywhere the last few months, i think they would have won it if they had been.

I agree about the x-factor winner single being nominated, it does make a mockery of the whole award.

Firstly it only sold masses because of the show and the hype around it. Its now plummeting out of the charts.

Secondly the song is a quick, cheap cover version, surely this award should go to the best original song and not cover versions.

Thirdly - i think its only been nominated to shut simon cowell up as he always moans as nobody from xfactor ever wins an award.

I don't think British music has been that bad at all. It's just the list they've given is very poor. It definitely does not represent the best of 2010's British music imo.
