February 1, 201115 yr I'm hoping it can manage to rise by Sunday though. Needs to go top 30 at least this week :( It's such a fantastic feel-good song! I can't see Clare going number 1... Top 10? Maybe. But we all predicted Florence to go Top 10 with RH(RIU) so who knows! I didn't, at the time I said it would chart similarly to 'New In Town' by Little Boots and I was one place out. :P Clare won't be #1, but should go top 10. February 1, 201115 yr Albums After achieving an opening week of 208,090 units, XL act Adele’s second album has been hit by a week-on-week sales drop of 36.2% but that should still be good enough to give it a second week at one. Closest to it is Mercury act Chase & Status’s newly-released album No More Idols, while Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans is currently placed third, Adele’s first XL album 19 fourth and Def Jam/Mercury Rihanna’s Loud fifth. A new Eva Cassidy compilation, the Blix Street-issued Simply Eva, is showing up in midweek sales as a new entry at six, while a repackaged version of RCA act Ke$ha’s debut album Animal is 11th. Other new arrivals include Loog/Polydor’s Chapel Love with Palace, a reissue of George Michael’s Sony album Faith, a Rhino Roberta Flack compilation and new titles from UMTV’s Skepta and Memphis Industries’ Go Team. Chapel Love?
February 1, 201115 yr We are long overdue for a 4 weeker at #1, its well needed, I can't see anything else on the horizon that could go to #1 in a few weeks time, apart from Clare Maguire. Noah & The Whale is only down a place to #38. I think you could be in for a shock next week with Chipmunk ft Chris Brown - Champion, could give Jessie a run for her money. I hope Jessie can be the long awaited 4 weeker though.

February 1, 201115 yr Shes just went no1 on itunes ... Well since i just checked! With the accoustic version at #77 also, that'll lengthen her lead as well.
February 1, 201115 yr I guess Jessie will get it eventually then :( her marketing team have really got it spot on - they clearly have the timing exactly right as PT can only get bigger thanks to the BRITs, plus promoting DILAD exactly at the time of the Sound 0f 2011 list announced, and she has two hits in the top 2 in less than a month
February 1, 201115 yr Hope Pink has a decent enough lead on no.11. Glad to see Bruno outselling Kesha.

Clever people. :)
February 1, 201115 yr Well, I'll be damned, Price Tag is going to enter at #1 despite having absolutely no time to build up airplay or video play. :w00t: I assume Chase & Status are at 5+2 in the singles? They'd better not have dropped out of the top 10 after just one week  Brilliant to see No More Idols at #2 though, I had a feeling it'd be #3 behind Bruno Mars :D Hopefully they can hold #2 at the end of the week. Strong sales again for 21, should do another 100k at least. A belated top 40 entry for Two Door Cinema Club's album (assuming it doesn't drop out) then :D It's spent absolutely ages in the top 200 but only a few weeks in the top 100. Great to see Wonderman top 15, Yasmin as high as #24 despite her iTunes flop, Someone Like You climbing into the top 30 and Avril re-entering the top 40 :D Hopefully Noah And The Whale can push a climb by the end of the week Edited February 1, 201115 yr by ★BlindFaithBray★
February 1, 201115 yr How did Price Tag take off SO quickly :o I thought it would take a couple of weeks to move into the top five, it's had minimal promo, radio and TV airplay and seems to be selling off hype and people who've already heard it in advance on the internet at the moment. Quite shocking! Could wind up a very big seller as the majority of the public won't have heard it yet. starting to concern me the impact that a song like price tag with little promo yet can hit the top 3.thought the onair/onsale thing would mean a steady rise, it seems that only artists no-one knows yet will rise steadily, all the rest will go top 40 on hype alone!!
February 1, 201115 yr also, britneys marketing team show how not to release a single in this new rule are, by the time her video comes out she could be out of the top 20, needless to say the single will then rise when the video ends up getting released, her chart run will look ridiculous!!
February 1, 201115 yr I really hope that Bruno Mars gets Number 1, and Jessie J gets Number 2. Not because I'm a massive fan of either song, I just think that it'll be hilarious for an artist to release two songs that are kept off the top spot by the SAME track. Seriously, if she peaks in the runner's up slot again, Jessie J is gonna HATE "Grenade".
February 1, 201115 yr Author Let's hope Pink peaks at #8 with FP her top 10 history #1 Just Like A Pill, So What #2 Get The Party Started #3 Feel Good Time #4 Stupid Girls #5 Most Girls, Who Knew #6 There You Go, Don't Let Me Get Me #7 Trouble #8 ---- #9 Sober, You Make Me Sick #10 U + Ur Hand :D
February 1, 201115 yr 1 Bruno Mars 2 Jessie J/B.o.B [PT] (4k behind) 4 Adele Jessie J #1 for sure by end of week! That was quick with so little radio/tv play, going to be huge! Adele still high with RITD #4  It would be nice to go #2-#3-#4-#5 or something like that  No doubt going to be her biggest single yet. Enrique Pink Good to see another 2 new entries (P!nk obviously a climber but new to top 10 :)) in top 10 this week. 14 Tinie Tempah/Ellie Goulding Climbed 26 places so far :o Could climb to #12 by Sunday, or even #11, hopefully can enter top 10 on iTunes soon! Top 30 Adele [sLY] Top 30 for SLY   #22 on iTunes could see a climb of 10 places! Has to be a single come on Adele! Albums 1 Adele (44k) 2 Chase & Status 3 Bruno Mars 4 Adele 5 Rihanna Love this top 5. :D Huge sales for Adele, another week of 6-figure sales! :w00t: Top 15 11 Ke$ha Not going to miss top 10 is it? :o Edited February 1, 201115 yr by Karma
February 1, 201115 yr Adele only 1/3 down on last week's sales is really good when you consider how much she sold. :o
February 1, 201115 yr If Bruno overtakes Chase & Status (which he probably will, NMI is likely quite frontloaded), the albums top 3 will go ABC :D If 2 and 4 had been swapped around on week 35 2009 it would have been an ABCD top 4: 1 Arctic Monkeys 2 David Guetta 3 Calvin Harris 4 [The] Black Eyed Peas Edited February 1, 201115 yr by ★BlindFaithBray★
February 1, 201115 yr Just days after debuting at both retail and radio, the Island/Lava-issued Price Tag is just 4,000 sales behind the week’s current frontrunner, Elektra/Atlantic act Bruno Mars’ Grenade, according to OCC data. lol. Perhaps they should try "weeks". Its radio premiere was over 30 days ago (on New Years day). And as if Someone Like You climbed! :o They've got to release it as single #2 now, surely? Some radio stations will just start playing it anyway... starting to concern me the impact that a song like price tag with little promo yet can hit the top 3.thought the onair/onsale thing would mean a steady rise, it seems that only artists no-one knows yet will rise steadily, all the rest will go top 40 on hype alone!! Yep. Those of us that follow, say, the US charts, have already observed that there's a certain list of artists there, which will go to #1 on iTunes whenever they release a single, without having to promote it (much) at all (e.g. Ke$ha, Eminen, Britney Spears, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Taylor Swift).
