Under normal circumstances, Chipmunk and Chris Brown would have the #1 in the bag.....

BUT!! Lady GaGa's newie, Born This Way was released on Friday, so could be a huge contender! Jessie J & B.o.B should be top 3 as well...

Chris Brown is on the rise in the top 10 and could be joined by both Rihanna's S&M and Pinks f***in' Perfect. Nicki Minaj feat. Drake should be top 25 and Eric Prydz could make the top 40.

the 2001 is very strong and the 2010 chart is quite strong, but as for the 2006 chart :puke2:

2010's top 10 was total :puke: One Shot and Halo/Walking On Sunshine are the only really good songs in there imo. :(

2001's is okay, based on the ones I know/remember from there.

Interestingly, Chris Brown and P Diddy are in both 2006's top 10, and today's top 10. :)

Having seen the spoiler posted in the iTunes thread about 10 times I know one thing about the top of the chart. I won't reveal it here obviously...

Any reason why Eric Prydz who will probably miss the top 40 is listed in the introduction, while Modestep, Lethal Bizzle and Loick Essien who have a much better chance of top 40 are ignored...?

2001

01. (1) Atomic Kitten - Whole Again

The 2001 chart is very interesting. Probably the peak week of nu-metal in our charts with two songs in the top 5. Very "alternative" overall, too, with only Atomic Kitten being out-and-out pop. Three R&B songs in the top 10 wasn't that common back in 2001, either.

2006 was boring - I hated that period. Though 2006 got MUCH better after this. And most notably FOUR songs in the top 10 that were re-released there :drama:

Oh my... the three records lining up behind Atomic Kitten in 2001 would look so out of place ten years on

Still, "Teenage Dirtbag" is amazing and "Last Resort" and "Rollin'" are brilliant guilty pleasures.

According to the 1Xtra chart, Modestep, Loick Essien and Lethal Bizzle all outsold Forget You, based of 6 days of sales, so if Forget You makes the top 40, those should make it too. Unless, of course, sales changed drastically on Saturday, but that is quite possible, actually.

Also, Chipmunk vs. Jessie J vs. Lady Gaga.

I read the spoiler, but Chipmunk is who I want to see at #1 most, since Jessie J has already been #1, and Lady Gaga will probably be #1 next week.

Toploader's Dancing In The Moonlight was just 1 week of its peak! This was its chart run upto this point:

11-16-21-26-22-20-23-21-21-21-17-13-8-

This was VERY unusual at the time.

I LOVE that song!

Did songs normally debut at their peak like pre-album singles today do back then?

Lol I actually saw Wheatus live TWICE in 2007

What was with the resurgence? :o

Also, that Wheatus song is AWFUL, whiny annoying dirge. Hate. I never understood why it was so popular.

EDIT: I see people are posting spoilers in this thread now -_- Good thing I've already seen it
