Posted February 28, 201115 yr Adele set for another double top 11:11 | Tuesday March 1, 2011 By Ben Cardew Source: MW Adele looks set to top the UK singles and albums chart for a third straight week this Sunday with her second album 21 (XL) and her single Someone Like You. Singles Someone Like You, the second single to be taken from 21, jumped to number one in the UK two weeks ago on the back of Adele’s Brits performance. It is expected to remain at number one for a third straight week this Sunday, ahead of Price Tag and Rihanna’s S&M (Def Jam / Mercury) in a largely unchanged top ten. The highest new entry to the singles chart is likely to be Foo Fighters’ Rope (RCA), which should challenge for a top 20 place. Albums 21 is currently some 18,000 units ahead of its closest competitor, Jessie J’s debut album Who You Are (Island), the release of which was brought forward after her singles success with Price Tag and Do It Like A Dude. Should 21 top the charts this Sunday, it would be for a fifth straight week, becoming the first indie album to achieve this feat since Moby’s Play in 2000. 21 is also set to top the US albums chart this week, after its staggered release in America. On the albums chart things are slightly busier: as well as Jessie J’s debut, the first album from Liam Gallagher’s post Oasis outfit Beady Eye, titled Different Gear, Still Speeding (Beady Eye) should make the top five. Debuts from Clare Maguire and Alexis Jordan should also challenge for the top ten. [10] Regarding chart postions when posted when you see a sum/substraction for example 22+4, 40-7, if you add/subtract both figures together it gives you the actual position for the track. Its just simple addition or substraction. Go Figure.
March 1, 201115 yr Author Another Jessie and Adele battle in both charts, will Jessie do the double or will Adele keep Jessie away from the top for a third week. Due to Adele's hype at the moment, Jessie should have left her album release till March, I think Adele will remain #1 in the albums, and Jessie could re-take #1 in the singles chart later in the week. There seems to be a few versions of Price Tag floating about on iTunes.
March 1, 201115 yr I think Adele will take the singles, and Jessie J the albums. But I want Adele to stick at #1 with both as I feel Jessie J's album is weak.

March 1, 201115 yr Author Not much happening in the top 10 of the singles chart, top 6 is the same as last week, and the same artists are in the top 10, but moved up a place or down with Pink as a non mover. Bit of a dull week at the moment, should improve later in the week.
