Mothers Day is coming up, my guess Adele's album will increase. I was thinking about this earlier, the album could stay at #1 for another month or 2, there isn't anything big to come till Gaga releases, you could easily get a #1 album on sales of 40k or even less at the moment, if Adele trails of after another month at the top. She could easily do over 1,5 million by the end of May at this rate. Her album sales are just astounding at the moment.

Has an album sold over 2 million in just under a year, as Adele could actually do it before the end of the year, if she keeps on breaking records.

Calendar year wise, as mentioned elsewhere james blunt depressingly holds the record. Near to 2.5mil. However i think this wasnt from release date. A bit like dido's first album it took a while to pick up speed.

Hope adele can do it and with declining album market it would be all the more phenomenal!

Do people really think elbow are a shoe in for no1 but rem have no chance? Bit surprised by that myself...

If Glee The Music Vol 4 already down to #10 in the first set of the midweeks, I think they will be #17 or #18 by sunday. :(
How can you get bored of someone because they are 'hyped'? If an album/song is good it's going to get hyped regardless so 'getting bored' of them because of that fact.. is well, a little pathetic. No?
what new big singles r being released next week?

Wiz Khalifa. Wonderland could do a Saturdays 'If This Is Love'... Natalia just depends on if the hype is still there. Chipmunk (w/ Keri) & Willow are one of those "straight to radio, straight to iTunes" releases I'm assuming?

Jessie J is giving physical releases to DILAD and PT, so COULD benefit her in the sense that she'll receive one of those "release week" boosts on iTunes etc...

March 6

Chipmunk feat. Keri Hilson - In The Air

Jessie J - Do It Like A Dude*

Jessie J feat. B.o.B - Price Tag*

Natalia Kills - Mirrors

Willow - 21st Century Girl

Wiz Khalifa - Black And Yellow

Wonderland - Introduction To Wonderland EP

Wonderland – Not A Love Song

I'm hoping Adele can be the first 4 weeker since Lily Allen which was ages ago. I can see Wiz being top 5 at the most, it's not that big to go to number 1

Given how badly Wonderland have bombed in Ireland where I'm told they have big airplay I can't see them coming close to the top 40 here.

I think Wiz will get #1. Chipmunk/Keri and Willow are a bit unpredictable, I don't know if there's any hype at all around 21st Century Girl but Chipmunk has another song in the chart so he's more likely to do relatively well...

I hope Chipmunk and Keri Hilson do well (I haven't heard the song though, but we need some movement in the top 10!!!). It has NO chance of getting #1 though. :(

I really, really, really, really, really hope Black and Yellow gets #1 next week, but I'm still not sure at the moment. :(

But Bionic only sold 24K first week - and next week looks so tough, I really don't know if 24K would be enough for Avril to even go top 5... new albums from Elbow, REM, Pet Shop Boys and Kanye/Jay-Z, plus Jessie J should have a decent second-week tally and then there's Adele of course...

My prediction for Avril is #7/8, followed by a quick decline... I think she's pretty much "done" tbh. She really needed to show her sound had evolved with this album and, judging by the first single, she just hasn't done it. In this industry, you can't release exactly the same type of album that you did 10 years previously and expect to still be relevant.

I am aware she won't make #1. Not even close to it. But I did say that I think she will get into the top 10 with around the same sort of sales as Christina due to previous success and current success with the single that is not too[/b] dissimilar to Christina's situation last year...

Bit of a boring top 10, actually top 6 are all non movers  and Lady Gaga ends up as a non mover, she be lucky to get top 5 at this rate, unless she steps up a gear. Nothing new inside the top 10 and not much activity.

The Manics have really dropped, they be out of the chart tomorrow. oops.

The album chart looks pretty bare from Nos 11-40.

Come on Clare push Rihanna down ^_^

Alexis non mover in albums and singles since yesterday. Is Happiness not top 40?
LOL Alesha is #84 on iTunes how on earth would she make the top 40

By the way, Adele's album sold 353,129 copies and debuted at number 1 in the States - was predicted to sell 250k.

And 19 sold 17,451 copies to get to number 16

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Bruno climbing! excellent :D

surprised Breakage are that high, there barely top 50 on itunes :o

*is - Breakage is one person.

Anyway, he has another entry at the bottom of the top 100 which explains its high position. The EP has also been selling well on iTunes. It's way lower than it should be though IMO :( Should be at least top 20

Anyway, I see DILAD is now top 10 again. How boring. With the physical release it might be top 10 again next week.

Adele continues to dominate

Adele is continuing to dominate the singles and albums market, despite the arrival of new challengers this week, according to this week’s Official Chart Update.

Her album 21 is steaming ahead in the Official Albums Update, despite the new competition from Jessie J’s new album Who You Are and Different Gear Still Speeding by Beady Eye, which are on course to enter this Sunday’s Official Albums Chart at two and three respectively.

In the singles market, Adele's Someone Like You single is again dominating, selling almost 50% more than the second placed Jessie J Ft B.O.B. single in this week’s Official Singles Update.
