Yay-Wheatus! Random fact of the day: I saw Wheatus twice within the space of 6 months in 2007. Also had a chat with Brendan during the first gig.

I know . He thinks his massive amount of fans did it

Reminds me so much of high school and being 13, I feel so old :drama:

This would have been one of the best #1s ever if it had gotten there, still sounds fresh now

And LOL at the "Her boyfriend's a gick" edit

A number one is ALWAYS a number one

That comment about "flop" no 1's - it was number 1 FFS!

Do people really care about these things? (not headed straight to you Bray)

In Kesha's case, it's more about the big picture. Clearly she's not a flop act by any means. She has had big hits.

I know a number one is always a number one, but that doesn't make them all equal. There's still tiers of #1s. #1s with different amounts of lasting appeal. Sex On Fire had massive lasting appeal. I Gotta Feeling had massive lasting appeal. Poker Face had massive lasting appeal. We R Who We R doesn't, at least based on its chart run so far.

I'm not calling Ke$ha a flop act, but We R Who We R is not exactly the biggest #1 ever (I'm not even calling it a flop #1, that'd be something like Dirtee Disco or Beetlebum, it's just more of a flop #1 than the rest of 2011's #1s so far)

Ke$ha has one song with massive lasting appeal and that is TiK ToK, it just peaked three places lower.

'Flop' is a *relative* term, not an absolute one. You can have flop #1s. They're not flops, they're flop #1s. Different thing.

I'm sure Brendan probably doesn't know about the intunes thing. I wouldn't be constantly checking the prices of my songs and besides they're not with the label anymore are they? So no one would have informed them?

Has it already been said, or does the title look like "Relieving Comics" to anyone?! :o :o

:kink:

LOL, the guy from Wheatus doesn't know his song has been reduced on iTunes

He might do, but he was probably told not to mention it. If big companies like Apple and Microsoft get mentioned like that on things like the radio then a lot of silly people got and complain (e.g. "Um, iTunes isn't the only download site" (as if nobody knows that )).

I'm really stumped by that sub title :teresa:

Every decade has a teenybopper band that takes the charts by storm, and the early 1990s saw Take That picking up in the U.K. where '80s American teen stars New Kids On The Block left off. Led by songwriter and lead vocalist Gary Barlow, Take That hit it big with a mixture of dance-pop and heart-tugging ballads. After Robbie Williams's departure in 1995, the group held on long enough to release a greatest-hits package before calling it quits. Take That, minus Williams, re-united in 2006 for an unlikely but triumphant return to the centre stage with hit singles and albums, multiple music award gongs, as well as critical reappraisal. TT's 2009 The Circus Live tour became the fastest-selling in UK history. - HMV
