Not necessarily that it's homophobic, just that it's not necessary and done for the sake of saying lesbian :unsure: Plus, the idea that the USA is somehow less homophobic than the UK is a bit skewy.

Homophobes are some of the most hated people in today's society. He just wouldn't get away with it.

 

I also agree that the UK is less homophobic than the US, but in the US, homophobes are still extremely hated (and rightly so). People WILL protest if homophobic lyrics are played on the radio all the time.

The line sounds a bit homophobic, it does seem to imply that homosexuals are freaks. Although do understand he is not saying freak negatively.
