Look at me now is not an official UK Single. Its US only. Beautiful People is the Official 2nd UK Single after 3x

I wasn't sure which was the 2nd single between the two but it makes sense making Beautiful People an official single over here, LAMN not doing to bad then, if it's not a official single.

I mean, anybody who's actually heard Look At Me Now would've expected this, but does Beautiful People have a release date now or something?

 

Capital FM have said that Beautiful People is the next single, but this time last year they were saying Hard was Rihanna's next single (so much that they even playlisted it), when there was actually Rude Boy AND Te Amo to come before Hard! :lol:

 

I think they skipped Loot At Me Now in Australia, since Beautiful People is already top 10 there, so they might do the same here.

Look at me now is only for the US market but they wanted to test the song over here to see how it works out on i tunes. Even if Look at me Now did get an official release, it would flop. I would predict a chart position between 25-35. Its not for the UK market.

I've been saying for weeks on here that it's not a particularly UK-friendly song (er, Lil Wayne, hello! :lol:). What's that about them testing Look At Me Now though? Surely it'd've been put on iTunes anyway. His whole album is on there.

 

I agree with you though, I think Beautiful People would do a lot better in the UK and especially Europe (see What's My Name? vs. S&M for reference) (and I think it's a better song in general). I just don't think many radio stations would've played Look At Me Now, although I do know of one radio station that has it on its playlist atm (even though it's not a single).

Just saw today's episode of glee, somebody to love was my favourite, although baby is the highest on iTunes :/ x

Somebody To Love is a LOT better than Baby, but Justin's and Glee's versions imo.

 

But yeah, I think Baby will chart the highest.

I don't think I have ever seen a song spend as long with 3 versions in the Top 100 as Price Tag. It makes it hard to track where it is overall - particularly as it is getting quite a strong weekend effect as well.

Mixed feelings about "Sing" doing the best of the Glee tracks. One the one hand, it was naturally my favourite song from last night's episode and the idea of it going top 40 over the far better-known "Baby" is quite satisfying. On the other, it annoys me that the original flopped so hard but here's hoping it can repeak this week ^_^

Well, thank GOD Baby isn't the highest Glee entry.

 

None of them will make the top 40 anyway, Firework was around where Sing is first thing Tuesday moring and that ended up at #55 so expect similar for Sing.

 

The other three will probably make the top 100, again based on where last week's were - I said they weren't all likely to make the top 100 last week when SLS was around where STL is now but in the end they all were.
