David Guetta makes himself get credited on a lot of tracks though. I think that's part of the deal (i.e. Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland, Snoop Dogg, I'll give you this beat if I can get credited on it). He doesn't always do it though, like on I Gotta Feeling.

And deadmau5 DID get credited to an extent. I believe he got credited as a writer(?) on Happiness. I think he should've got credited as a producer, since he did most of the producing (or even actually on the track, so it was Alexis Jordan ft. deadmau5, like Chris Brown has done on Beautiful People with Benny Bennassi) though.

That's just Guetta's personal choice though. People don't *have* to be credited on the song for production and 99 times out of 100 they don't (for example you don't see 'Jason Derülo feat. J.R. Rotem' or 'Rihanna feat. StarGate')

It's only an issue if a producer or writer doesn't get a credit as the producer or writer.

I meant, David Guetta probably says to people he won't make songs for them if he doesn't get a featured credit on them. David Guetta isn't forced to be credited on his songs, but he's forcing the artists he gives the songs to to credit him, if that makes sense (although he probably doesn't force them, but you know what I mean.).

And yes, the Nicki comparison was a bit unfair, but I was thinking of other really famous females rappers in today's charts, and I couldn't really think of any. The only ones that sprung to my head were Ke$ha and Fergie. It is unfair to compare them, but still, Nicki IS better. In one of Ke$ha's songs, she rhymes "at", with......"at". :drama:

That's like saying Eminem sings in lots of his songs, and we should compare his singing to Chris Brown who sometimes raps. You can't compare them

Well, you CAN compare them. Chris Brown is better at singing (and dancing) tham Eminem, and Em is better at rapping than Chris. Okay, it's very unfair to compare them, but we've heard both sing and both rap many times now.

I think the real question is whether Eminem's singing is better than Chris's rapping. :kink:

as long as the artist of the song their sampling gives them permission, they otherwise have no connection with the track so Deadmau5 not being credited by Alexis Jordan is perfectly fair

as for Guetta, I guess when he takes the lead role in production he lists himself as a credit, when he only has a small role he doesn't

Till the world ends has really grown on me, I despised it before but now I'm loving it! Also this is a bit random but I was just watching the episode of glee where they sing total eclipse of the heart and can anyone remember where that charted? I think it was top 10 if I remember rightly? x

Total Eclipse of the Heart got to #2 on iTunes:

Thanks for the information! Wow number 2 on iTunes is amazing! And just realised, all the songs from that episode were all top 30 on iTunes! That rarely happens now.

There must have been a riot that week .

Indeed. I think the reason is back in those days, most people heard Total Eclipse of the Heart (the Glee Cast version of course) for the first time on the actual episode, whilst now, most of the people that would buy Glee songs have heard them for the first time sometimes months before, now that they've watched the second season at US pace, most likely.

That was a BRILLIANT top 10 though. Wow! :o

1. Good Times - AMAZING

2. Total Eclipse of the Heart - Very good

3. Candy - AMAZING

4. Ridin' Solo - ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!!!!! 2nd best song of 2010 imo.

5. OMG - AMAZING

6. All Night Long - AMAZING

7. Stereo Love - AMAZING

8. She's Always a Woman - Boooooring. :(

9. She Said - Okay

10. Watercolour - AMAZING

I can't actually remember tbh. I don't think people were too annoyed, as there was one week where 3 Glee Cast songs were in the top 10 on iTunes, so this didn't seem that bad, and most people knew the song wouldn't chart top 5 or anything even though it was #2 on iTunes, I think, because Glee songs nearly always chart way lower than their peak iTunes position.

But lol at Christina Aguilera being #11 on iTunes. Hopefully we can see her back in the chart one day. :(

I wonder if Katy could get #1. :o

It is 3 combined, but LMFAO have quite a decent lead. They are quite close to J-Lo now, I think they will be number 1 next week.

I'd say the uncrediting of Big Pink is fine as it's a sample :) And btw, I'm pretty sure it's not Jodie Connor on IMS, she's said a few times she 'features in the video' but not that she sings  It doesn't sound like her either...

No, it defenetly is her vocals as she came to my school the other week and performed it along with 4 other songs.

I did read somewhere that it wasn't Jodie Connor's vocals on In My System actually... I don't know if it's true though.

Funny thing, until about 6 months ago, I always thought she was called Jodie O'Connor! :o Even when Good Times was #1 I had no clue I was spelling her name wrong!

43 and 368 for 'Till the World Ends' surely she's around 38/39 on iTunes, combined? Maybe higher if we combine other entries!

Oh well then . I know I would have panicked for a second
