I don't get it though. Her EP has been in the iTunes top 200 albums chart on Pre-Orders alone ever since it was available for pre-order. But she had a very low debut (same thing happened with 'On My Own'!)

 

Her EP is at #4 though - Which is good (I've also just purchased the EP as I want the Radio Edit and the Acoustic mix (I don't bother with remixes) but it was cheaper to get the whole EP than it was to download the two tracks seperately.)

 

Pre-orders only go towards the songs chart if they're 1 or 2 tracks. 3+ counts as an EP so the pre-orders go to the albums chart (hence it entering in the top 5 there).

A cover of the Depeche Mode/Saturdays song for the Celtic Charity fund, the comments on the single say RIP Reamonn Gormley (I don't know who he is but I'm assuming he's a Celtic person)

I hope Yasmin and Clare Maguire get a top 40 hit, Take That is released later in the week I think :unsure: pretty much a dull chart, with the lack of new entries.

On a serious note, them three songs are all below average and I can see why they're not doing very well chartwise. I'm no fan of Inna's new song so hopefully another low top 40 or flop, and a top 20 finish for Yasmin would be nice

Apparantly so. Well, it's on the release schedule but as they're trying the "to radio, to retail" approach I'm unsure exactly how 'Love Love' (or whatever it's called) will fare. I don't think anyone has even heard a 30 second preview - if the song turns out to be a complete borefest then hopefully the track won't sell on name alone. If it turns out to be a really great track then I hope it sells on musical merit as well as the obvious "name alone" strategy that helped Eminem go top 5 ('Crack A Bottle' :mellow: ).

 

As for Yasmin, I think 'Finish Line' is a vast improvement on 'On My Own' so I also hope her new single is the bigger hit - it deserves to be imo. However, I'm really not impressed with the new Clare Maguire single - it's basically 'The Last Dance' without the soaring chorus and it just sounds all very lacklustre to me. :(
