I am watching, but only have been for the last 5 minutes

That Lady Gaga song is poor. She died for me after "Alejandro" :(

Not happy that Bruno Mars is #1 - his feeble songs are for desperate people to try and get laid too.

JTWYA maybe, but "Grenade" is about unrequited love and "The Lazy Song" isn't about getting laid except for one rather inconsequential line...

I really hope 'Marry You' is Bruno's next single solely because of this thing that's annoying me:

2010 01 Nothin' On You (B.o.B Feat. Bruno Mars)

2010 03 Billionaire (Travie McCoy Feat. Bruno Mars)

2010 01 Just The Way You Are (Amazing)

2011 01 Grenade

2011 41 Marry You

2011 01 The Lazy Song (it will be)

I really wish MY didn't chart at all because now it ruins Bruno's discography. :( Stupid I know. -_-

I want him to release The Other Side, just because its my favourite from the album... but I ge what you mean about the 41 ruining the the impressive chart run :D

Before Just the Way You Are came out, I remember on Capital, pretty much every time they were playing the song initially, they'd always say something like "Next I'm going to play the song that will get your girlfriend to want to sleep with you". :drama:

Kudos to Capital though. It probably kept people listening to the station for an extra 20 minutes waiting for the song.

But still. Just :puke:. The lyrics to that song literally sicken me. Definitely one of the most embarrassing and cringe-worthy chart hits of 2010 for me. :( Even OMG had better lyrics. :drama:

Not gonna lie though. I was kind of pissed off when Marry You missed the top 40. It must've sold quite a lot for an album track though. 4 weeks in the top 100 I think! :o Who You Are by Jessie J and Look At Me Now by Chris Brown must've also sold lots for album tracks by now.

It's up to 8 weeks in the top 100 now. 2 when the album was released (66-100-x), 4 more after Glee (RE-62-41-65-88-x) and another 2 the past 2 weeks for, er, whatever reason (RE-96-92-...).

It's worse if you look at his top 100 discography instead of just top 75.

2010 01 Nothin' On You (B.o.B feat. Bruno Mars)

2010 03 Billionaire (Travie McCoy feat. Bruno Mars)

2010 97 It's Better If You Don't Understand

2010 01 Just The Way You Are

2011 01 Grenade

2011 41 Marry You

2011 01 The Lazy Song

Anyway, I'm sure he will release Marry You 4th and I don't think a 5th #1 would be out of reach for him if he does.

'It's Better If You Don't Understand' was an EP. Unless the OCC made a mistake and charted it on the singles chart?

Lady Gaga - Judas #12

Lady Gaga - Born This Way #17

Rihanna - California King Bed #35

Nicole Scherzinger - Right There #42

The "whatever reason" is because The Lazy Song is at #1 now. And it's the album version.

But 8 weeks! :o Wow!

'California King Bed' doing so much better than I thought it would be!

Just needs radio play now...

I just don't see the appeal in him.

His lyrics are cringey and his voice is just like any other soul singer. He isn't the music marvel people make him out to be.

That's not a mistake, EPs always chart on the singles chart unless they're either a certain length or a certain number of tracks (can't remember which). I think a longer version of IBIYDU was released outside the UK but the UK version only had 3 tracks on it, one of which was Somewhere In Brooklyn. Can't remember the other two and iTunes has gone and deleted it anyway. But yeah, it's not a mistake. The last EP to chart on the singles chart was Beth Ditto's self-titled one earlier this year which got to #76.

I just don't see the appeal in him.

Well, he's a good vocalist and song-writer. I can't really deny that. But so are most of the artists in the chart, and their songs are usually better than his.

I'm hearing it on the radio right this second!!!! :w00t:

Any sign of 'Work' or 'Forever Is Over'?

I think Notorious will be #1 when it's released. It sounds fantastic. Way more mature and 'current' than even Ego and Higher! :D

J-Lo is back in the top 10!

And Chris Brown up to #5. I wonder if he can be #4 officially this week.

I think CKB will chart at around #52 come Sunday.

Bruno Mars certainly does deserve the phenomenal worldwide success he has achieved. Call him what you like, but that won't stop him being talented and himself (rather than selling himself out as an artist). I've bought his EP and the singles but I'm yet to buy the album. I will finally buy it next week I think. LSB is an amazing track!

I'm really shocked at how successful OTF has been for J.Lo. It has a more than healthy chart run and brilliant sales. I don't think it will be remembered much in five years time though. A bit too generic and uninspiring.

I really hope the Saturdays don't get to #1. Their new song sounds atrocious. The lyrics are extremely pretentious and cringeworthy ("I'm a bad girl...") and they're just shamelessly following the club/dance music trend. If you're going to follow a popular trend, at least add a bit of originality! I preferred 'Missing You' - at least that had a nice summery vibe to it. Imo, their only credible song to date is 'Work' and that criminally peaked far lower than all their other hits.
